Solid as a rock tonight, the Roos would have had a tough time breaking down that defensive live. I have never seen a Saints team so utterly mean in defense. They are hunting in packs this season, with four men completely killing the momentum.

I think the kudos for this has to go to Daniel Anderson and Alan Wilson. Their input into the defensive coaching has seen a complete turnaround in the defensive strength of the side. Before it was a shoot out in which we looked to win by scoring at least one more try than the opposition. This season our defense is that good that we are winning the tight games that may have slipped away under previous regimes.

Injuries or off the field matters are all that can stop Saints now. That performance was total dominance for 80 minutes, and it came with Saints minus Sculthorpe, Gilmour and Fozzard.

Big praise to Paul Wellens, aka miracle man. He goes off against Bradford with his eye completely closed, with Doctors fearing 8 weeks on the sidelines with a fractured eye socket/cheek and then 7 days later he plays in Super League with not a mark on him.

Having said that Hull were awful. Nathan Blacklock is a joke of a man, I can't see why they don't just sack him. He's clearly not interested.

They're sure in great form and making every post a winner when opposition teams don't perform. But it's a long long season, and really all comes down to the last four weeks...

No passion , no pride and no committment.

At the end of the game only 4 players could have the guts to go around the field and clap the fans. Thats just a disgrace, Hull FC the most overrated RL team in the world.

Since Brian Smith signed with Newcastle it's gone a bit quiet on the Kear contract talks . However the rumours abound that Kear won't be at Hull come SL XII.

That's terrible, things looked so promising for Hull after last season, with some great coaching and playing performances behind the Cup win, as well as a handy position in the league. Shame to think internal things are responsible for all that being thrown away...

I still think Hull will come good but given their current poor form it may be a blessing in disguise if they start to choose a few youngsters, i think Danny Washbrook is ready for the step up and maybe even pick Tommy Lee on the bench.

What happened? At the beginning of the season they were going great guns, and with only a few non-English players in the side, too. Then all of a sudden they're not just losing they're getting demolished.....what has happened?

Kear's got to be feeling the pressure.
