what year is that one? Weird seeing a mclaren of that era without 1 or 2 on it. I'm presuming that is one of senna's? Very jealous.

1990. Mp4/5b.

as a result, ferrari and mclaren swapped car numbers, giving prost and team-mate nigel mansell the numbers 1 and 2, and giving senna and gerhard berger, who had swapped with prost at ferrari, the numbers 27 and 28.

Bingo!

The cars were all roped off and initially I got a couple of shots in front of the car. Then when my mate and I were close to leaving a guy in overalls was going around putting air into cars tyres, moving them about on jacks. I asked if I could go up to the car behind the rope fence and he said sure thing. Hence the cockpit shots. It was funny thinking that I was effectively looking at Senna's old office space from 1990. We were very lucky because apparently the maintainence guy only comes by once a week.

In the display were also cars driven by Fangio, Graham Hill, Moss, Villeneuve, Damon Hill, Piquet, Mansell and Prost, to name but a few...

Fangio's cars would have been amazing. He was a freak. The 5 by 4 is amazing given the variations in cars at that time.

Prost and Mansell are others I'd love to see.

The idea that a cockpit is an office space is intriguing to me. Really makes you redefine your understanding of 'work'.
