Looking forward to seeing what he does with membership prices when they are released. Then we will see if he is fair dinkum or not. At the end of the day he can only spend the same as everyone else on players so it will be off the field that he will have the biggest influence.

Third party deals now become very important for Newcastle. D. Lockyer was on 250K contract at Brisbane. In other words, he was on nothing under the cap.

Bloody marvellous, we're 3 days into the off-season and the first Knights hate thread has emerged. The maggots have crawled out of the woodwork to play. I'm looking forward to a memorable off-season with lots of hate-infected dribble directed at my club, the Newcastle Knights (also known as The Blight Of The League).

I mean HOW DARE the Knights actually sit on equal financial footing with the other clubs for a change. We're supposed to be the punching bag for the Sydney clubs, isn't that Newcastle's place? Also, where's Skeepe?

All I can really say is we're rich b*tches, you're gonna have to get used to it :lol:

I've got used to spelling it 'ass' simply because if you spell it that way it doesn't get censored. Same as using the term 'merkin' as replaceable for the C word.

Think about it SK. This is a good sign. The hate is because they think you have a good chance of getting the Premiership. Same reason nobody really hates Souths the team. :D

I wish nothing but success for Newcastle. They are a great League town and the club has exemplified the League passion and attitudes of the fans like few others do.

I'd hate to see the Knights become like Brisbane or Melbourne - an arrogant corporate plaything that has little regard for the rest of the code. I fear that Nafan will do exactly that.

On one hand, he seems like a hard ass to deal with and a big bully. But, he is a stern man and likes things done with honesty. I like his sacking of the Newcastle Jets coach because he had a truly dishonest employee. He had the courage of his convictions to sack him.
