I personally think that 18 is fine, heaps of 16 year olds would probably treat it as a bit of a joke, or be sucked in by scams to get votes. I've just been delt a bad hand. On the up side though - since i'm young it gives me maximum time to think about if its really what I beleive in, I guess.

Age is no barrier for those particular symptoms. At best, about 30% or so of people are genuinely engaged in the political process. For everyone else, it just ruins a perfectly good Sunday.

My vote in the Senate is all that counts in my comfy Lower North Shore Eloctorate. I'm still undecided.

the Howard government has done a magnificent job digging ourselves out of a massive problem thanks to another Labour government in Paul Keating.

Unemployment, interest rates & economy are fantastic at present, why would idiots voter otherwise.

I am 27 so I have probably voted in 2 Federal elections already.

I have been racking my brains, and I can't remember who I voted for. Probably the first time I voted Labour as I lived in Newcastle which is, as Andy points out, a Labour stronghold.

I am trying to get interested in election issues, but I've been largely unsuccessful so far. How long have I got to make up my mind? Can't remember the date of the election...
