Yes please if there is a god you will make Andrew Mehrtens shine, the Crusaders win for the 5th time and George ^&*%#$%^ [-o< [-o< [-o<

Supersportszone has a running commentary - the best you can do where I am #-o

66 Joe Roff Missed Penalty - This means the Crusaders can still win with three converted tries.
63 Daniel Carter Conversion
62 Brad Thorn Try - The Crusaders have a 5-metre scrum and the ball goes to the backs quickly. Two phases later and the big Brad Thorn gets in midfield and crashes over. Good try but the Brumbies have three match points left.
57 Joe Roff Missed Penalty - Not that three points would have made too much of a difference. It's all about the breather.
47 Joe Roff Conversion
46 Mark Gerrard Try - Larkham hangs a high kick for his backs to chase. The shaky Blair lets another one slip and Gerrard collects for his hat-trick.
44 Larkham restarts and his kick is collected by Marshall. Mehrtens is quick to boot upfield. The Crusaders must score first and for that they'll need to play in the Brumbies' half.

71 The Crusaders are putting up a fight for this game, working hard for every inch of field they gain. This Brumbies defence is just too commited and there are no weak links.

No change ](*,)

40 - 28

76 Daniel Carter Conversion
75 Chris King Try - Referee Watson slips just as the Crusaders maul crosses the line. He asks for assistance from the tmo but no camera angle can show the ball being grounded. The try is given anyway.

It's looking better but I just don't think we're gonna make it :|

Joe Roff scored! 47-28! He's now the record holder for tries in Super 12s. Well done.

82 Joe Roff Conversion - It's game over with seven minutes left on the clock.
80 Joe Roff Try - For old-time's sake the Brumbies win a turnover and strike to the blindside. Bartholomeuzs draws the cover defence and feeds Roff on his inside. The fullback goes over to seal the match

BASTARDS   47 - 28

There was a minor brawl started by Justin Marshall after he was tackled by Mark Gerrard. It was a good hit and perfectly legal and it was a ridiculous over-reaction by Marshall. Getting flogged is probably getting to him. IMO I'm suprised he wasn't sin-binned. Crusaders have just scored again 47-33, but not enough time left, only two or three minutes remain.

89 Daniel Carter Missed Conversion
88 Casey Laulala Try - The Crusaders have a numbers advantage to the right from behind an attacking ruck. Laulala gets at centre and slides over in the corner.
86 Matthew (Matt) Giteau Missed Penalty - A long-range attempt misses to the right and takes up time.

That is pretty unusual for Marshall, so was his little dance last week :?

Full time 47-38. Good comeback by the crusaders but the Brumbies are deserving champions.

93 Daniel Carter Missed Conversion - The final whistle goes and the Brumbies are the 2004 champions.
92 Three minutes after the hooter Mehrtens grubbers over the line and Carter scores.

Well done Brumbies. A deserved victory.

I thought Larkham was outstanding, as were Gerrard, Smith and Samo (how is it that you're letting this bloke go?)

Completes the whole Nucifora farce nicely.

That's pretty much what it is. An emotional over reaction. Anybody that has played sport knows about those.

IMO I'm suprised he wasn't sin-binned.

You're kidding, right?

If anybody should have been sin-binned, it was the Brumbies forwards who infringed after Watson's explicit warnings.

Even Carter had a shocker, it just wasn't our night

It was truly an excellent game, and the atmosphere at the ground was absolutely sensational. Well done Brumbies. By the way for whoever said it, Mortlock was actually out injured in 2001, when the Brumbies won the title for the first time. There's your omen for you.

One thing I've picked up on lately however is the propensity for most league types to laugh at anything remotely based on union and make complete idiots of themselves. After the Super 12 final they were saying "Don't these union blokes know what defence is?" while laughing themselves stupid, yet after a close fought match like the Reds' 6-5 win over the Sharks we here "Don't these union blokes know what attack is?" while laughing themselves stupid. Hard to know what they want, really.

Those people are just narrow minded and don't want to understand the code, don't know what they are missing.
