Haven't had a game in brisbane since we came back from 20 - 0 down to beat those prix 2 freaking years ago. Now the only game we play this year within 900kms of Brisbane is on a f**kin monday night. Was planning a weekend with the family down the coast and take the kids to the game ... now its a bloody school night!

I really thought the Storm game would be on FTA, likely battle for the minor premiership.

Maybe Ch9 think we're such a shoe in that we'll be 4 pts ahead and resting players.

stop complaining about a few curve balls at the end of the season, you have had a dream run this year, and if you are going to win the big one, there will be alot more to come.

still remember putting you lot out of making the GF in "99-oh what a feeling!! And Choc's summersaults to celebrate....yeah!!

yeah, I remember that year well. The year after St George became Illawarra & had doule salary cap to every other club. & still lost.

you became illawarr when you took on their colours & played majority of your games out of their ground. Some years there, your ground was such a wreck, taht no games were played in kogarah.
its really funny stuff. & watching your club hit the skids on the bak of a poker machine addiction, is nearly as funny.

Happy with the draw but would you agree that the game likely to be 1 v 2 should be on FTA ?

I live in Melbourne yet it seems the only game I will see live this year was in Cronulla! That was the 1 timeslot for the weekend I didn't want the Storm game!

Not one free to air game for a team in first place. Interesting. Just proves your performance is irrelevant in the Nrl. Same teams on free to air every year even though they are placed in the bottom four. No wonder ratings are declining. Eels on Nine at 4pm in the final round with no points. Blockbuster.

Yes we are irrelevant. I hated the idea of a fixed draw because the same teams will always be selected for FTA when the draw is made.

The draw was already done with the first 20 rounds. It explains why when the Eels were wooden spooners, they still got "selected" for 4 of 6 FTA games in the last 6 weeks.

Yes

I do wonder if they ask the commentators or the promo people.

Come late in the season, it must be hard pumping up shit games like that.

Broadcast decisions are based more on expected viewer numbers than team position/performance. The decision is one of commerce rather then merit. They are heavily weighted in favour of teams with a larger supporter base. Life isn't 'fair'. Deal with it.

EVERY game is broadcast - either FTA, Fox at home or a local venue, or streamed via NRL website. If you're on this forum you have web access. Available & affordable.
