Parramatta Vs Canberra, 1990, Parramatta Stadium.

i remember sitting at the Thornett Grand Stand, there was only 8,000 people, but I remember Parramatta won the match over the premiers. I wish I could remember it more, cause the match the had the likes of Kenny, Laurie, Liddiard, Bell, Woods up against Daley, Stuart, Meninga, Lazarus.

And from around 98' onwards i have barely missed a game in NSW...

Hmm.. it would seem pretty hard when the games are playing at the same time...

I'm pretty sure he means just Canterbury games.

i cant remember really remember mine that well. i was incredibly young probably 4 years old. my old man took me to kogarah to see his beloved balmain tigers play the st george dragons. it must have been '88, '89, '90 because it was before i started playing under 7s i know that much. i have a very vague memory of it. i remember sitting on the hill and for some reason what i remember the most is that the prgram dad bought at the field had tim brasher on the cover and he had long hair. dont remember who won and dont remember having fun. as i said it is a very vague memory. how then did i end up supporting parra? up yours, old man! :p

 madunit! i just had a conversation with madunit about my first game and he delved into his league archives and we have now figured out that the very first game that i attended was - round 10 , may 27 1989. balmain vs st george @ kogarah oval.
that is quite heart warming considering that that was my 5th birthday.

St.George 24 (Brad Mackay, Mat Elliott, Ricky Walford, Mark Coyne, Clinton Mohr tries, Walford 2 goals) def Balmain 14 (Andy Currier, Steve Edmed tries, Currier 3 goals)
crowd: 4286

i find this all very beautiful because my dad has since passed away and i never would have known that my dad took me to the footy on my 5th birthday if it wasnt for madunit

I don't remember what year, maybe '93 or '94, but it was the test match between New Zealand & Australia at Ericsson (then Mt Smart stadium).

It ended in a 14-all draw after a couple of Dale Shearer field goals snatched the victory away from us!

The highlight of the match for me was a huge hit Tawera Nikau put on Paul Sironen!

1997, the ARL finals series. Illawarra Steelers v Gold Coast Chargers at Parramatta Stadium. Would have been no more than 5000 there, if that.

1994 Grand Final between The Bulldogs & Raiders.
Not bad for a first RL game.
I remember seeing the famous Wanuiomata side play in 1989, a great experience i'll never forget.

Saints V Roosters @ the SFS around 97'ish I think. Was around 9 or 10 at the time all I remember is going because my mate and his Dad were diehard saints supporters and they had a spare ticket. My first Manly game was Manly V Bulldogs in 99 at Stadium Australia.

75'(I think) Cronulla v's Balmain

Sharks won 12-11 Glen Duffy missed a kick right in front on the bell to lose the game for the Tigers...

I can remember some girl crying and being consoled by her b/f .....

And My Dad and I laughing.......He was saying "Duffy duffed it" all the way home!!

Classic!
