It was september 17, 1977, St George 9 drew with Parramatta 9 in front of 65,959 fans and it was the first ever drawn grand final.

OK. Still in the same theme (I have no idea why I want to bring this up)....

We all know that it was Jamie Ainscough who, in the 1999 grand final, took out a Melbourne player with a high tackle, resultingin a penalty try and a win to the Storm.

The question, another very easy one...

I asked this question while out to dinner one night last week. While everyone knew it was Jamie Ainscough who went high, hardly anyone knew that it Craig Smith that was knocked out when 'scoring' the winning try.
A strange thing. Its a grand final that will remember for the one that was lost, not won.
