If the guy is not going to be here, why play him.

I can understand Wags, Pig and Chad as we don't want them but Williams, stick him on the Bench in Wenty.

If he shows some loyalty and take a pay cut, then by all means put him there.

some of us still want to win a comp yy, it's the least we can get out of this year after some of the most pathetic and incompitant managerial decisions in the clubs history

Do me a favour and start a thread on that comment Stagger ? Love you to elaborate (with facts rather than speculation).

I was just wondering what else has happened (other than TW which I am equally miffed about) that are some of the worst decisions etc in the clubs history ?

Is Gronk actually Dennis GFitzgerald?

And YY I don't really see why we would continue picking bloeks we are effectively releasing at the end of the year but drop the bloke we would really like to keep? That makes no kind of sense.

And anyway, surely the best thing we can do as a club is let the kid get bashed as much as possible before going to Manly?

If we are up by twenty at half time I'd make him play prop with no interchange for second half!

I would never be meh to the facts. Speculation is fun, but just don't sell them as facts.

Let me go through them if I can.

1) Letting Tony Zappia go, he is the best in the Business and Player Negotiations

2) Letting Andrew Hill Negotiate 2 of the biggest contracts (in terms of future of the club) with Jarryd Hayne and Kris Inu. Staggers information is that we have been taken for a ride on these contracts which will mean a poor retention policy for the next few years.

3) Keeping Steven Edge as the head of Marketing when it is proven in the SMH that we have the least amount of sponsorship dollars rolling into the club.

4) The Clubs in-ability to ween itself of Pokie income due to lack of sponsorship dollars.

5) Our recruiting policy where we import no one from outside the club, to help build a culture which appears from those close to the club to be quite accepting of mediocrity.

6) Letting John Mannah and Tony Williams Go, two of Parramatta's most
promising young stars, yet

7) The clubs inability to cater for any fan requests, like full team player signing events like a fan day. Or their poor showing comparatively to the rest of the clubs at the NRL fan day.

8) The appearance that in terms of fan relations, the Lunatics are running the asylum and certain players who do not want to do signings any more an influencing our younger players as well as events team in to fewer and more infrequent player / fan interactions.

actually MITS would it be fare to add..

9] the failure to hire a welfare office after Hutch's resignation even after it was evident that there were players at the club who were having trouble coping, of the field.

10] the lack of foresight of the club to have a forum where we could ask the coaching department questions that we would like answered??

The non re-signing of Tony Williams is one of the worst, inept management decisions I have ever whitnessed from our mediocre board. Whoever is responsible should be SACKED. We have become a club resound on just making up the numbers, and not competing for the premiership.

11] the publicity disaster which was known to many as the "Ray Price statue" debate..whether you agreed or disagreed with the arguement, it was still looked at in a negative light by the media and had our CEO squirming his way out of excuse after excuses.

What did he do for us that made him the ace of the pack ?

2) Letting Andrew Hill Negotiate 2 of the biggest contracts (in terms of future of the club) with Jarryd Hayne and Kris Inu. Staggers information is that we have been taken for a ride on these contracts which will mean a poor retention policy for the next few years.
That's weapons of mass destruction type speculation there.

3) Keeping Steven Edge as the head of Marketing when it is proven in the SMH that we have the least amount of sponsorship dollars rolling into the club.
On the face of it, I agree.

4) The Clubs in-ability to ween itself of Pokie income due to lack of sponsorship dollars.
Agreed, but which other club is on top of this problem ?

5) Our recruiting policy where we import no one from outside the club, to help build a culture which appears from those close to the club to be quite accepting of mediocrity.
I see you're point but we were only a sniff away from beating Storm last year. I remains to be seen what happens in the rest of this year.

Funny, in the days of Brian Smith, the chatter was that he would never give the kids a go. Now Hagan is giving us exactly what we have been asking all along.

6) Letting John Mannah and Tony Williams Go, two of Parramatta's most promising young stars, yet
They are talented juniors. Not sure if they both could have made our top 25 in 2009. Time will tell I guess.

Not a big deal to me. But it's all about getting bums on seats at home games so I guess you're right.

12. A lack of true club spirit and pride in the clubs heritage, history and lack of respect for some of those that bled blue and gold, cluminating in not a single player going to the funeral of one of the most important people in our clubs history.

Thats the thing, Staggers sources which are sometimes the same as mine and sometimes separate have always had a wrap on Zaps as a hard, fair negotiator that could take player managers to task for a players value, he was also quite good as our team manager in instilling at least some form of Loyalty to the club which he could call on during negotiations.

We do not hear the same things about Hilly. TBH I have heard nothing either way about Hilly.
