The ghost of Denan Kemp

Many people at the start of the year had Denan Kemp in their "best Broncos team". I've seen him in clips of the Broncos training pre-season. I've seen him playing for Redcliffe.

Then, like a wisp of smoke, he's gone.

All the while Lachlan Maranta was demonstrating how NOT to play the game, Kemp was nowhere to be seen, and is now mysteriously absent.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking Kemp has some significant off field issues that continue to drag him down as a player that have persisted since he signed for the Warriors.

OK ... that's a shame. That is one thing to consider with all the excitement about signing Ben Barba. Let's just pray and hope that he has his personal life together.

From what I gather he's been injury plagued all season, barely able to string 5 games in a row, plus he's not exactly setting the world on fire in Queensland Cup.

Kemp is a fan favourite - his popularity was based on nostalgia from 2008. The reality is, he wasn't up to first grade in 2013 and when Brisbane were begging for a winger part-way through the season, he was on the sidelines living his life.

Had a feeling something was happening with him. It seemed like everytime I saw training photos or there was an instagram post of a current player, he was never there, but he was posting stuff of himself off with friends, looking a bit... Fergusonish.

Made me think he had other 'priorities' other than football
