Despite woods obviously being dumb as dogshit, completely selfish and getting horrible advice on how to handle contract negotiations, I am absolutely flabbergasted that a current club captain would go on tv and give it to the current clubs admin. If he did this the day after our last game I wouldn't be fussed, but this is the guy who is meant to be the face and leader of the club.

No matter what his thoughts are on the CEO etc, being captain comes with certain responsibilities and he is meant to put the club first. In no way whatsoever could he ever think this is going to be a good thing for the club in Round 9 of a season.

It's obvious this was meant to be a face saving exercise but all it's done is make him even more hated and considered a complete joke by 95% of rugby league fans in general.

I honestly have no words for this.

I thought the same thing mate. merkin should be sat in NSW cup for the rest of the season. Your board is a shit fight, granted, however until his paypacket is being deposited into his account via canterbury leagues club pty ltd, he should shut his fat face and concentrate on rehab and playing well for his current side. The board should come out now and reveal what they think of the merkin and perhaps any dusting under the carpet they've had to do for him in regards to any off field/end of season piss up indescrections. Play fire with fire I say.

He didn't and all sort of speculation was thrown around with his answers to loaded questions.
Even if he was concerned about the coach for next season, airing those concerns on tv is not the way to go about it.

The way the Tigers fans are abusing Woods isn't acceptable.

I have never done that to a Souths player leaving and never will.

Woods you can't blame as the Tigers board and vision has been a shambles. I've met Woods a couple of times and he's a good bloke.

A mate of mine said he was at the game last night at Leichhardt and the bickering amongst Tigers fans is divided!!!!!

Hopefully karma comes back to bite them in a fortnight.
