Okay, I'll begin the campaign to get Led Zeppelin voted #1.. if you have any taste at all, vote for Led Zep!

Think of all these songs.. Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir, Rock and Roll, Whole Lotta Love, Black Dog, Immigrant Song, D'yer Mak'er, All of My Love, Dazed and Confused... if you don't know one or all of these songs, download them and realise that these guys are the best there ever was!

damn.. there are some great bands here.. however. i have to go rhcp.

while back in the 80s' bands like AC/DC, Zeppelin & CC etc.. reigned surpreme and probably had arguably better music then rhcp [it's debatable]

the chili peppers managed to grind it out through an era - and pull through to the next and are still able to construct a song that does well in the 'main-stream' charts - but is still well-respected by the rockers'

i'd go as far as saying they could pull through for another 10 years - to the next era of music.. whatever that may be. their just such a great band.. not taking anything away from the 80ies greaties.


also much love goes to nirvana. it's just a darn shame that they didn't stay around for too long [rip kurt]

damn you el garbo. all of these bands own within their own right/era/time/respect.

Don't you dare taint Led Zeppelin's mighty name by calling them an 80's band... ;-) They released their first album in 1969 and disbanded in 1978!

But I agree.. all of these bands - except maybe Pearl Jam - deserve their place amongst the greats.

AC/DC in the 80's - wash out your mouth. AC/DC formed in late 1973! Played their first gig on New Years Eve at Chequers!
