Yeh it’s a worry Oldham are signing players

Guess they fancy themselves to replace Salford

No way they are super league ready
Id say Oldham are way outsiders for an automatic top 12 spot. They'd need to get an awful lot more points than last year. Having said that Oldham have now got a very tidy 13k stadium and some money behind them so dont count them out totally for one of the two panel decided places, but odds are against it.

Theoretically there could be places 11 & 12 (Hudd's and Salford) up for grabs plus the two new places.

There are changes to the IMG grading system this year that will also impact championship clubs more. All the championship clubs will get an auto 0.25 reduction due to change in tv viewership scoring (unless they are offering a 6 camera streaming service themselves which I dont think any are). There are chances for population increase points with catchment agreements coming into play. This may help London and York. Bradford will get more for stadium after investing in big screen, media facilities and LED advertising. Whats unknown is how they will deal with Salford and in particular their situation on their financial scoring.

2025 gradings of clubs battling for the 4 places in SL 2026
11. Huddersfield Giants – B – 14.48 – Super League
12. Salford Red Devils – B – 13.97 – Super League
13. Toulouse Olympique – B – 13.58 – Championship
14. London Broncos – B – 12.65 – Championship
15. York Knights – B – 12.42 – Championship
16. Bradford Bulls – B – 12.15 – Championship
27. Oldham RLFC – C – 7.00 – Championship

Hudds won’t get booted so there’s only one spot up for grabs under the img criteria

Team 13 and 14 wont be selected according to the img criteria (it’s a factor) but more like the criteria that saw Leigh get in (away crowds seem to be a big factor in this criteria)

Toulose only chance is to get the 12th spot cause they won’t get it under the other criteria

York and Bradford seem to be ahead of London

If Toulose miss out London would be the other club

If Oldham is back at boundary park that’s ok. I’ve been there

Shame they lost watershedsings (for some reason I always think their old home ground was station rd)
