The grand plan

If I’m reading that right Thursday is the top 12 teams and Friday (English time) is 13 and 14

Should be between Bradford and York for the last spot with Salford out for toulose and London looking like they’ve been promised a spot already
Personally I’d want Bradford in over York as I believe they’d give the competition a huge boost in terms of crowds both home&away but I think you have to go with York for the legitimacy of the competition.

What are grades for Huddersfield or Castleford?! Could they fall behind Toulouse or York?!

Nah no chance

Super league clubs have a huge advantage in the rankings over non super league clubs

Cas are a decent club even if their ground is a dump

Averaged like 6 to 7k and never been relegated

Toulose will just edge past Salford on the criteria if they don’t rig it

How the f..can a club which was bankrupt, couldn't pay players and resulted in the cancelling of games still be in contention?! Toulouse has ticked all boxes. If they don't go in comp will be strictly a northern league. London should run.

I’m 90 percent confident toulose will be in but you never know

Winning the grand final got them extra 0.25 img points

London look like they’ve been told they are in

With Nigel wood coming into the rfl can’t see Bradford missing out

If Salford miss out on top 12 they are gone they didn’t apply for a spot at team 13 or 14

Congratulations @Perth Red
2025 has certainly been a year of wins for you when it comes to rugby league.

Hopefully Hull KR maintain their success for a few seasons yet and the Bears hit the ground running (on the field) in 2027.
Cheers, yes quite the year! Perth in, Storm get to gf and hkr doing the treble, and still an ashes series to still look forward to.

Grand final was amazing atmosphere. There really isn’t anything like an English crowd in the rugby league world.
Looking forward to seeing the new Everton stadium.

In regards to 2026 league make up.
I predict:
Toulouse get 12th spot on points
london get 13th spot even though they don’t deserve it
Bradford or york get 14th spot. It’ll probably be Bradford even though York deserve it more.

If Bradford get in over York then I fear York could go the way of keighley back in 96.
Maybe but their owner seems pretty committed. if we had hadn’t suddenly had this rush to expansion, and the Salford collapse, he wouldn’t have been expecting to get in for a while anyway. He’s slowly but surely building the club to get in on its own img grading merit. As long as the img system doesn’t get abandoned next year of course!!
I can see York in years to come scoring higher than cas and Huddersfield.

Cougars should’ve been allowed in

They really did an amazing job promoting the club

London don’t deserve it based on on field performance v York
I think the guy behind bullmania was responsible for cougarmania as well.

peter deakin I think his name was.

I don’t mind Bradford back in super league

It’s a league with small crowds and bulls are one club that can get to 10k even if odsal is a dump

And they have one of the biggest away fan bases in the comp

York aren’t too bad always been a decent club but I’d have Bradford any day after them

London toulose and Bradford makes it a pretty decent league even if broncos will probably only average 3k

I agree but you can’t have Bradford in over York as it will make a mockery of the competition.

bradford should regroup for next year and would probably walk the championship and replace York or Huddersfield for 2027 season.

Pe deals have destroyed Union

Super league would be crazy to do it
Wouldn’t mind it if they used the investment money to do something for long term health of the game but in reality it’ll be just dished out to clubs who’ll waste it and in a few years it’ll be gone with nothing to show for it.

.The NRL is understood to have wanted to buy into a 10-team competition, with clubs in London and France, and a plan to rebrand it as NRL Europe. This model was rejected by several established Super League clubs in the north of England, who were concerned about being shut out of the competition
