Just thought i shall let you guys know,

A few people and myself (All of them members on the kennel forums) all rallied together at the Bulldogs forum held a few weeks ago. Our main objective for the night was to discuss everything Bulldogs - including the very unsuccessful Bulldogs fan base "The Kennel". I have been a member of this so called fan base for as long as its been around, which is now getting to the 3 year mark, and let me tell you, it means nothing. No people to start chants with, no people to get a good atmosphere up and going.

So with that - we went to the forums with a plan of attack to move the current Kennel to a different location. This way - we can get away from the Stigma that has dented our name and brand that is the Bulldogs. The club has looked at the fact that the Kennel is a failure, with the very weak numbers that they have had. We started a petition, got peoples thoughts going and have been successful in our journey.

We have kept in touch with Bulldogs staff via email and also talking on game days during home games. It has been confirmed that the Kennel for 2008 will not be disbanded, but in fact, they will take our ideas to plan and move the seating area to the tunnel side. It will be situated on the 20-30 meter line, and it is going to cost around the $200. It is Category A which is the best you can get as well.

The group that i have been working with are mighty excited about this as we plan to get as many people involved as possible. We want to make our own fortress in an 80,000 seat stadium with our voices, backing our boys. It would be might awesome if we can get more and more people to join. Already - im thinking we can get around about 200 people in. Thats a very realistic figure for mine. If we can show our fans and the NRL that the stigma of those Hooligans is erased - then we can really build up a fan base to be proud of.

i think the new seating will help heaps. i attended my first dogies game in about 3 years against canberra and saw where you guys sit and throught what crappy seats behind the try line. now you are near the 20-30 meter line you should get more members good luck

Cheers mate -

We are just trying to get the word out. We want the right crowd coming in- and not those idiots who created that bad Stigma amongst our supporters.

If we do get a large amount of people, we are also thinking of possibly starting up a separate website so that new members can learn the basics of what we are etc.

Alot of this is similiar to those in the English Premier League teams - who have their own websites based around there fans and there chants.

I am around 90% sure of joining the kennel next year. The seating i think will be great ,hopefully though the hooligans can stay away.

$200 i think is a very good deal for Category A

its either the kennel, or true blue members area although in the true blue area there is no atmosphere chants etc which is why i really want to join the kennel.

I have tried getting my relatives to join me in the kennel so i am not nigelated, they don't think too high off the dogs army though after they have seen some incidents happening there in the past (epsecially after the broncos game in 2005) even though i have tried to convince them otherwise. So ill just be on my own i guess, but looking forward to seen you guys at the game.
