I'm a fan of their media deal. If only they'd followed vlandys lead when it came to tv negotiations!

Vegas F1 this week.

Qualifying Midnight Friday local time - 7.00pm Sat night Sydney time

Race 10pm Sat night - 5.00pm Sunday Sydney time...

Seems they do watch late night sport over there

Well the first 8 mins was a massive success.

US Rugby / World Rugby has announced that next year's leg of the World Sevens (or SVNS as its now officially called) in Los Angeles will be pushed back a week and go head-to-head with the NRL in Vegas match.

Whilst I didn't see thousands of US Rugby fans flocking to Vegas to watch the NRL, I'm sure there was a portion of that supporter base who potentially could have been lured to check it out.

Makes it a little bit harder to sell in any already crowded marketplace.

Dumb move because honestly they'd be cannibalising some of their own attendance also

Be keen to understand what ticket sales are currently.

The last report said something like 13k sold already, which is obviously not going to get it done.

On October 18, the Courier Mail reported that 15,000 had been sold: https://www.couriermail.com.au/spor...r/news-story/83f3fb61523a742503f8dced7b13831a

While the historic double-header featuring the Broncos, Roosters, Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs is still almost five months away, almost 15,000 tickets have already been sold, with almost half of those bought by Queenslanders. Some package holiday deals for the weekend featuring direct flights from Brisbane to Las Vegas have already sold out, with about 1000 Broncos members among those already booking tickets to Sin City.

The NRL has finally locked in a date for their launch in Las Vegas as they look to use the Raiders home game against the Minnesota Vikings and some A-list celebrities to gatecrash America.
Sport Confidential has seen a document sent to clubs outlining their schedule for their US media launch and PR tour.
Each of the four clubs playing in Vegas – Manly, South Sydney, Brisbane and the Sydney Roosters – have agreed to fly one player over for the week, which begins with an appearance at the Raiders home game against the Vikings at Allegiant Stadium.
It is understood the game is being televised by Fox Sports in America and the NRL hopes to be included in the coverage.
The plan is then to have the official launch on December 12 at Allegiant Stadium with US media in attendance along with celebrity ambassadors and NRL athletes.
Significantly, Queensland State of Origin fan Keith Urban and his wife Nicole Kidman are likely to be in Las Vegas at the time – Urban has a residency at Planet Hollywood.
After launching in Sin City, plans are afoot to hold more media activities in Los Angeles or Utah before flying home.
