Knowing Turbo he'll probably get injured at training b4 the season kicks off, he has so much bad luck its not freaking funny

I dont think it actually matters, Id be selling the game as "NRL". Thats how the top leagues are sold in the States. Doesnt matter if people say rugby as long as they are thinking NRL. USARL needs to change its brand to NRL America or similar.

Similar to the sport "hockey"
In Australia, and many other countries, if you say "hockey" you are referring to what North Americans, and others, call "field hockey "
In North America if they say "hockey" they are talking of what we refer to as "Ice Hockey".
Both sports based on the same principals but different.
If someone says "NHL" you know exactly what sport they are talking of.

These are both fair points and in some ways how thing are here when US fans refer to foreign leagues Iike the EPL. Although curious US fans and commentators typically say “Premier League” more than “EPL”.

That said there is no confusion in branding that the above means “English Soccer” to Americans and when it appears in media or pop culture.

You still have to ensure that even if “NRL” gets some traction, it doesn’t get confused for Union when covered by American media. As this happens a lot in US media and Hollywood covering non US things.

But, but the game is rigged in favour of the Roosters!
Not that I want to be seen to supporting the ‘Club Adversity’ claim, but the whole serving suspensions for rep football is a farce. Jack Wighton who made a big thing about retiring from rep football last year is now ready and able to play two footy again.

But wait; he is suspended. So the All Star game will count against his suspension.

Before PR and Canard jump in and piont it out, the article is on NRL.com so of course it's positive :D

They make a good piont in regards to the Wolfpack, League has already had success in North America, so it's possible we could have success again with the Vegas games.

I love the quote " the most American sport not played in America " :D

"There's 300,000 Australians that live in America, so even if we picked up 150,000 of them to follow and subscribe to watch the game, that's another $25 million a year in revenue."

Downgrading expectations already lol
