Yes, my mate in Kentucky messaged me excitedly that the Nations games had recorded for him to watch. Here's a link to an article that I think really highlights the fact that Americans think rugby union and rugby league are the exact same thing.
Since union is using the term league now we should probably drop that too
How about,What and call it National Rugby?
Yeh, that'll work.
Due to the Americanisation of Western. Culture, The NFL is well supported in Australia and is well known. The fumblers will be much like most American's that will go to watch the league at Vegas. Probably enjoy the day, be a bit curious watching a different sport that they are not used to, maybe some might casually follow the teams they went and saw, some will make it an annual weekend getaway, but I can guarantee that the vast majority, if not all, will then go back to following their own sport/team.
If you think American's or Victorian's will abandon NFL or AFL or feel threatened because they watched 1 game of a different sport then you are more deluded than PVL who said that adding Perth and PNG will triple the NRL's revenue.
I'd rather see a return to pre covid levels of funding of QLD and NSW league below NRL levelMuch rather see the NRL put money into teams in Wales, London, Newcastle, Sheffield, York and Toulouse.
Teams already in all of those places, a couple of mill each would see them all in Super League pretty quickly and give that comp the geographical spread it so desperately needs.
Awesome.Andrew Abdo is saying 40K have been sold now
Awesome.
got a link mate?
edit. tweet Didn’t upload before I replied.
Would something as simple as selling tickets in hotels and even on street corners and shopping malls be an option?Hopefully can get another 10k Americans and vegas holiday-goers to buy tickets in the last few weeks looking for something to do that weekend.
In the last day just give them away to get a full houseWould something as simple as selling tickets in hotels and even on street corners and shopping malls be an option?
Yes it would be great if there were pamphlets and promotions at all the hotels in the vicinity for those in town looking for some entertainment. I would think seeing a novelty like the 'rugby' at Allegiant stadium would be a pretty cool experience for Americans in town looking for something to do and to also see Allegiant stadium.Would something as simple as selling tickets in hotels and even on street corners and shopping malls be an option?
Let’s say you gave 20 tickets each away to 50 US based YouTube sports content creators or whatever you call them for them to give away as prizes. In the last day just give them away to get a full house
A sold out stadium would really make people notice
Or just give free tickets to social media influencers to promote it and show up on game day to record content
Try and flog a few to the various Las Vegas city tour companies too.Yes it would be great if there were pamphlets and promotions at all the hotels in the vicinity for those in town looking for some entertainment.
