Surprise, surprise. People in Sydney are taking about NRL. Tomorrow’s big discussion on TripleM Melbourne ‘people are talking about AFL’.
Can someone please post the article a third time.

I think it's fair to say we haven't seen the same movement of seats up to this point, compared to last year. Could still change with a few days to go, but think we're only seeing 250-300 sales per day max.
Finally got around to filling out the model I created last year (Bit more data to work with now) - Still had to do quite a few estimates and also will be thrown off if they're holding many/any seats back in areas that I think have sold. Have done my best to estimate 327 - 347.

I'd be fairly confident even with error - that we're between 44-48k sold now.
I think they were doing 4 tickets for $19, so pretty cheap. Compared to this year, $29 for 1, being the cheapest. So doing well to still beat last year and charge more. I still would like them to run a promotion to try to get a few more locals in to check it out. Doesn't have to be that cheap, but something would be good. 2 for $29 for LV Raiders members(?) would be good.Maybe NRL were giving away tickets this time last year?!
I think if we sell out up to the top tier, then Thursday just hit the streets with $5 tickets for the entire top tier. The $5 is almost nothing to spend but worth going to see what it bought.. can't call them give always.. some of those might like what they see.. looks great for TV and atmosphere.. creates a fomo for next year ..I think they were doing 4 tickets for $19, so pretty cheap. Makes sense, the bulk of attendees would have already purchased tickets given they are flying in, and you can't expect many walk ups.View attachment 99188
I think it's fair to say, in the previous 2 weeks, we haven't seen the same movement of seats, compared to last year. Could still change with a few days to go, but think we're only seeing 250-300 sales per day max. So unlikely to get to 55-60k. Feels a little silly to have level 1 seats in the Camera Arc still available this close to kick-off. Would want these filled by existing fans and not people who may only come for a game or two.

Especially when Vegas is on your doorstep.Who’s going to sit there for over 8hrs, noone. It’s going to look similar to last years game the majority of the time I feel, maybe even less populated.
Would be even worse if they allowed people to leave and come back because then for sure the stadium will look empty. People will watch a game and skip the next one then come back. At least this way it encourages people to stick around.Maybe already mentioned earlier in the thread, but what is the thinking with not allowing people to leave and come back in? It's not as if they can sell your seat again when you leave. The only downside is you give your ticket to someone else to watch their team if you leave the ground as you are not interested in the other games but how much would that take place and organisers missing out on a sale?

I don’t really get this strategy. On one hand the nrl are trying to hype this game and sell tickets so it looks pretty full and looks great for US FTA TV. Then on the other hand they schedule a full day of games which would ensure the stadium will never have all ticket holders seated at any one time and therefore look sparse.
Nice to see Woods contributing off the field after so many years of doing f**k all on it.
This is an incredible exchange of thoughts between two men with 3.5 braincells between them.
