Good to see the fumbler channel getting excited, fumble-hq will be having a conniption. Can you paste the copy of the article here?
Remember, a few years ago Vlandys complained about morning shows not covering NRL. Shows the impact of this type of event.
And yet nine can’t send over their commentary team
Great to see they are up the ante on this rather than just being some tokenistic headliner grabber.![]()
US combine winners to score two-year NRL contracts
The NRL has just upped the ante in its bid to lure the best American athletes to rugby league.www.theage.com.au
Need Triple M to get involved to.Great to see 7 get more involved in Rugby League. I had heard that they are also planning a league talk show for this year, not sure when that is starting?
That will really get fumbletown in a tizzy.
Corporates are included in the 44-48k figure. Check the botttom image. Worked out to be around 6k corporates remaining if Stadium capacity is 65k and as we've heard 90% corporate capacity has been sold. So worked out be around 5.3k corporates sold.Cracker of a post
Would corporates and stadium members be in addition to this ?
Anyone still think Vegas was a bad idea?G
Good to see the fumbler channel getting excited, fumble-hq will be having a conniption.
Australia’s two biggest breakfast television rivals are going head-to-head on the ground in Las Vegas.
Channel 9 has sent television heavyweight Karl Stefanovic to Sin City to promote the NRL’s season-opener for the free-to-air broadcaster on the Today show.
But Channel 7 hasn’t sat on its hands, despite not being an NRL broadcaster.
The rival network has posted Sunrise sports presenter Katie Brown, a former NRL reporter, to Las Vegas.
Brown gained a new legion of fans at Canberra’s training session in Vegas when she had them doing the Viking clap on live television in Australia on Wednesday morning (AEDT).
Someone on here the other day was saying it was just a cheap sugar hit for the game and that Pvl has no strategic vision to grow the game internationallyAnyone still think Vegas was a bad idea?
I assume this means the Katie Brown segment is going into Melbourne, Adelaide etc?G

It's great for PR in Australia and kicking off the season with hype. Longevity and getting exposure in the US is the next hurdle.Anyone still think Vegas was a bad idea?
I would be pretty tempted by Vegas on my doorstep, not going to lie. So I wouldn't blame anyoneFor those saying that the crowd is going to leave after so and so games, don't forget the English.
There is no way they will leave after the Wigan vs Warrington game, they will be joining forces to watch the English girls in their game against the Aussies.
By then they'll be staying on as they'll be too drunk to move haha.
We went last year and a bottle of water in the stadium cost the equivalent of $24 AUD. And they won't let you bring water into the stadium. It won't stop us from going again next year though, the stadium itself is a bucket list tick.I would be pretty tempted by Vegas on my doorstep, not going to lie. So I wouldn't blame anyone
Especially when you were only there for a short time, maybe the only time in your life.
You can watch your favourite footy team 20 odd times a year, otherwise.
I'm sure booze in the stadium isn't cheap either (don't know this for a fact)
Would you stay for 4 games though, and the interminable breaks between? We went last year and a bottle of water in the stadium cost the equivalent of $24 AUD. I'm only thinking of the English and their girls side playing.I would be pretty tempted by Vegas on my doorstep, not going to lie. So I wouldn't blame anyone

I tend to agree with you, even though I have to admit the games went so quickly and we both were wishing there was more. Which is exactly what you, better to leave people wanting more. The zoom shots on the big screen of the crowd antics were awesome entertainment of themselves. I think it'll come down to the quality of the first couple of games, if they're crackers then newbies will fall in love with it and crave more, if there duds then the opposite will happen. I honestly think the biggest threat to this whole event will come from the English referee's in the first game. They can't put there whistles away and take forever to make a decision on review......which is just about every incident. I can't believe they've put Liam Moore in the bunker ( ominous music playing).Would you stay for 4 games though, and the interminable breaks between?
A double header like last year, would be far more palatable to most I'm sure
