Nice to see Peter Fitzsimmons is still bah humbugging the LV weekend.

I was in the city last night.

I saw a bloke with a waratahs shirt on heading to the game. I didn't even know it was on last night.

Apprantley the rugby started back 2 weeks ago but who would have known no one has even mentioned it in the media

This fitness influencer with 14m followers on instagram just made a few stories about Vegas, rugby league and Wigan, and apparently going to the game.

I was hoping the nrl got hold of a bunch of influencers to go to the game, will be interesting to see if that pans out tomorrow.

I think Vegas will continue as a magic round-esque experience for fans, starting the nrl season with a bang, and growing the game in the US is a nice byproduct. As we know, and the nrl know, there needs to be more than just this event to meaningfully grow the game in the US and internationally.

But it sure is a great springboard to do that.

if anything it will give the nrl more courage to try further innovation ideas with spreading the game.

It’s exactly as I thought people will come in for the games they are most interested in as 8hrs is too long. Even more so because what I noticed is each team fan base has been meeting up a different pub prior to the game, they might prefer to hang around there and wait for their game to start.

I’d be hoping the sharks and panthers fans come to the warriors/raiders game otherwise that game will look more sparse than last year even if they sold more overall tickets.

I also hope the English fans stick around, I wouldn’t be surprised if they decide to go to the pub though instead especially the Wigan fans looking to kick on and celebrate.

Why would you want to go to the pub in Las Vegas when you just sit in the ground and stick to the TGG in the stadium...reinds me of Magic Round in Newcastle.
