True last year they tried to bs and quote that 48k number when it was 38k

Still without all the Poms it’s down on last year

Next year will be different especially if the eels join dogs and dragons

Last year had sourhs and broncos so two large fan bases

About 4K Poms went last year without an English team … probably more neutrals went last year than this ….

I’m not sure this is going to have a long tenure though if they can’t get more Americans going to the game

Ostensibly it's attracting the same Australiasian audience as a middling Broncos game

I assumed the games were on Sunday (USA), you know, the main nfl fixture day. Sepps aren’t used to big Saturday events and they’re too dumb to change.

My guess for the next 2 years.

2026
Bulldogs vs Dragons
Storm vs Cowboys

2027
Dolphins vs Titans
Parra vs Tigers
Leave Perth bears and Newcastle for 2028
Together with png and one previous team (wonder if Perth or png miss out this time till they have built up their fan bases)

To round out for the first five year deal

By the end of the next five year deal the nrl should be at 20 teams with nz2
