Been backlash by loads of women on social media

I think keep a women’s game but schedule it after the super league game. Crowds won’t look good for the first two games but it is what it is.

Issue might be whether pommies hang around for the nrl games but they should

Having women’s games in Vegas will help the nrl attract the best footballers from around the world

I’d go with 3 games as the women are out of season for months yet anyway. Any way they do it they really need to have the NRL double header as the ‘main event’ back to back. Those who aren’t interested in spending 7-9 hours in the stadium can attend it as a double header and enjoy everything else Vegas has to offer either side of that.

Slap NRL branding over everything, I get it’s the name of the sport but using ‘Rugby League Las Vegas’ should be replaced with ‘NRL Las Vegas’. Really need those 3 letters out there on every piece of promotion in the lead up.

As others have said if they want Vegas to continue they need to find a way to get more ticket sales locally. Travelling numbers will diminish as years go by and the novelty wears off, it’s not exactly a cheap trip.

the women’s test was putrid
Women's RL is not necessarily aimed at long-established fans. NRL are presumably going to Vegas in pursuit of new audiences.

The Jillaroos are among the most talented female athletes in any sport. Showcasing their excellence, admittedly this time against woeful opposition, may reach demographics hitherto inaccessible to RL. Not everyone has an insatiable appetite for big blokes smashing into each other.

I'm coming round to the belief that NRL should officially supersede RL globally.

NRL Europe, NRLW Europe, NRL World Cup, etc. The word "National" is sufficiently generic. And we've been here before. The Northern Rugby Football Union opted for alignment in 1922.

I’m a LV Raiders fan… so I’m used to our players doing stupid shit…

TBH… as long as they haven’t killed anyone or threatened anyone with a machine gun(and no I’m not even joking… SMH) I’ll usually f**king cop it…

but seriously… I watch every Raiders game if not live then on replay(it literally takes years off my life each f**king week) yet I have no f**king clue who Tyler Manoa is?

And I’m being 100% serious… I know there’s 53 on the roster which can be hard to keep track of… but by the end of the season you kinda get familiar with nearly all of em… but I would definitely know if there was another island bro on the team.

this dude must be on the practice squad or something… I cannot believe the Raiders couldn’t have atleast sent one of the actual squad… the fact the Canberra Raiders accepted that shit… that’s literally like a NSW Cup player… lmfao.

No, no they wont, and its bad scheduling. 4 games is to much.

Glad to see you finally think Vlandys is an idiot than. He is against 4 games.

My point was that its harsh for the NRLW to miss out because the administrators f**ked up.
I honestly feel that the woman's game should be promoted entirely separately from the men's.

Laurie Daley was there, they could have got him and billed him as a legend etc

Old mate was lamenting 100m lost to our econmey by punters spending thier money in Vegas.
I was pionting out that the money will come back into our economy when the estimated 40k poms arrive in a few months
Estimated by Rugby Australia... whether that happens for real being anyone's guess.

Either way I don't see how the Vegas thing being supposedly offset by rugby is good for the NRL?

To me it was great having the footy back and to kick off in Vegas is a great success.

I ignore those reports from the other FTA sites saying how the spectacle was disappointing and the crowds were poor, one bloke posted a photo during the Sharks/Panthers game but obviously missed the first two which seemed bigger and louder. Obviously theyre jealous and no other game in Australia has taken this idea to Las Vegas and I hope we really succeed in the next 3 years.

Yes we hit a bit of speed bump with the Womens game being a blowout, and no one is bagging the game itself, it wouldve been totally different had it been against NZL or at least an Origin game, but in the end Vegas 2.0 was a success, a lot of people had a good time and even the RL reporters want to go back next year.

Next year its likely to be Bulldogs and Dragons and that would be massive. I would agree keeping the Super League game and have the other two big clubs, Saints and Rhinos.

Vegas sucked the air out of any other sport trying to compete. And you still have people complaining. Remember AFL did it in China, and we all know how that went down...
