Fans get a chance once every five years to go so it’s not like it’s overkill

Plus lv js desperate for tourism now they will pay more for it next time than the 5 million we get now

Maybe if it moved try la or miami they are good tourist destinations not sure about tv times for here though

If Vegas starts selling out it will be a huge money spinner for the nrl
I hope you're right but I feel like Vegas is a thing that fans will do once and that's it. It's so bloody expensive there.

Regardless I think we should be looking to try and grow the game in Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines and other countries in our area.

We should be utilising Vegas to build some roots there I’d be open to keeping it there for another 5 year deal. In which time we establish some local competitions, teams, etc

If and when we do move I also think it should be Hawaii. It’s an even better opportunity to bring families travelling from Australia/NZ/Eng, and also presents a good opportunity to establish local comps and maybe an NRL team eventually.

London can’t work due to the time zone. Remember this is a big tv event to launch the season, won’t work at midnight.

Singapore doesn’t hold the same level of desire for people to travel to.

Hawaii is even more expensive than Las Vegas and Vegas has better facilities for keeping the fans close to the stadium and better entertainment options. Not to mention the ease to extend the holiday and see other parts of America after Vegas. Way more accesible for Rugby League fans in the USA as well, expats and Americans who somehow got an interest in the sport.

There are very few places in the Northern Hemisphere which have a climate that will attract fans in early March

Also need a natural grass field.

In the US the climate and grass requirement limits it to San Francisco, Vegas, Miami, Jacksonville, Phoenix and Tampa Bay.

Maybe Charlotte.

Of those Vegas, Miami and San Fran are good tourist destinations. However the SF stadium is well out of the city.

Hawaii doesn't even have a stadium at the moment. It's a rusted condemned husk.

Edit: Atlanta has a grass field and is roofed.

Bottom line - we’ll be staying in Vegas for opening round until numbers and interest starts to wane.

And I don't see a reason to move it until then. And even then that would take a few failed events in a row before we abandoned the idea as intially it would be blamed on bad matchups etc or America has gone fully cooked with King Trump dictating everything.

I was commenting on the Wembley idea to start the season. It sounds nice, but in reality it just doesn't work and we sacrifice a lot.

It’s doable. It would have to be an early start English time but it’s certainly not impossible.

Next year for example, Broncos could play WCC and one other team goes over with them to play a big English/French club. Then the following week (same week as Vegas) do a NRL/SL double header in Manchester or London. Saturday 10:30am would be 8:30pm AEDT for the NRL game then the Super League game after.
