The greatest of them all returns. Brought a tear to the ear of longterm Schumacher and Ferrari fan. Something to look forward to (haven't said that too much this season when dealing with Ferrari).

The last of the great drivers. It's a shame it weren't more permanent.

I don't give a sh*t about motorsports and even i'm pumped. As bad as it sounds, Massa's injury may have been the best thing that happened to F1.

Amen.

Schumi is the most overrated of them all. If he'd raced in the 70's and 80's he would've been lucky to win one world title. I see where you're coming from BD, but using that logic would that make Ben Johnson the greatest sprinter ever because he set the fastest time? I agree that on paper Schimi's record looks mighty, but then you look into the details and IMO he doesn't stack up against people like Senna or Fangio.

Reputable judges and former greats routinely rank him in their own Top 5. Each to their own if you don't rank him where I do, but to rate him as 'the most overrated of them all' shows complete ignorance for one of the most ruthless and talented drivers that has ever driven.

Apparently Luca Badoer will be filling in for Massa until he's ready to return.

Devastated. Gutted. He made the right move and put the team first given he didn't think he would be able to compete because of his injury.

As a Ferrari fan, this made my season when we learnt about the comeback. Now, back to the less than palatable season where we have struggled as a team and Massa is injured.

As much as I wanted to see him race again, it was one of those comebacks where the sportsman was on a hiding to nothing.

If he wins, it is as expected. If he loses he is a has-been who has now tarnished his record.

Plus he is risking injury in one of the most dangerous sports.

It sucks ass that he won't be in the Ferrari though I would rather him back in the sport than not. I will be cheering him on in any event. Great news. If he wins the title again at 41, he owns another record. TV ratings for F1 just improved as well.

Win-win for F1 and motor sport in general.
