Where do you guys think Winx would finish if P. McGregor trained him?

Winx would finish around 8th after leading for the first half of the race, Nugget would tell its connections that a top 8 finish was the goal, job done.

Is it just me, or is the Melbourne Cup totally overrated?

No not over rated as it is a great international event and part of the countries fabric but in fairness the Cox Plate is the real deal as far as horse racing is concerned in this country.

#22 - Youngstar - should be around the $16-20 mark - Good run in the Caulfield Cup, light weight.
#9 - Marmelo - should be around the $15-20 mark - last years eq fav, different campaign this year

and of course for sentiments sake the old fella #7 -Who Shot The Barman - around the 50/1 mark.

Going to add one more to this list.
#23 Cross Counter around the $9 mark and best of the lightweights.

Will box all 4 in a trifecta.

I should of looked at this thread yesterday. I had no idea about Cross Counter and only had it in a trifecta as a guess, and then would of got it but left out Marmelo. I probably would of backed it if i saw this lol.
