Yeah I actually think your on the money...

I do think that Whittaker was a better match up for Bisping than Romero... but Bisping was going to find it tough against either of them.
Bisping is all heart though, and the one major difference for Rob will be that bisping will hit him with probably triple the amount of strikes that he had to deal with from Romero.

Will definitely be a great fight to watch though.. The middleweight division just got interesting again

You win rounds by landing punches and basically f**king up your opponent's face, you genius. You know, like boxing??
Not necessarily... a massive part of winning the rounds are ringmanship... or in the UFC octagon control.

Usually the fighter going forward gets the benefit of the doubt if the fighter going backwards isn't defensively suave enough to stay out of a brawl.

Damage to the face or even compubox means absolutely nothing to the 3 judges at ringside... they are judging it round by round as the action is happening.

For the record I had Manny winning the Horn fight by a couple of rounds... but I could easily see it going the other way as there were at least 6 rounds that were very close that could have gone either way.

It was certainly no robbery...

The judge who gave it 117-111 was f**king out of there mind... but the two judges who gave it to Horn 115-112 weren't terrible scores.

The reaction here is the US fans who love Manny and the ESPN team who were hoping for future endeavours Manny would win.

Bob Sheridan who was calling the fight for the local broadcast team is a far, far more accomplished fight caller than anyone on the ESPN crew and he called it a close fight to Horn.

Manny's own promoter Bob Arum from Top Rank... who by the way approved the three international judges before the fight... also said it was a close fight where he thought it could have gone either way....

The problem for Bisping is that Whittaker does everything he does but better...

Bisping's greatest asset is his volume striking and the pace he sets... Whittaker he's an even higher rate than Bisping and is younger and more powerful.

I think Bisping is in REAL trouble.

One thing about Bisping though... he's a veteran... he's a clever fighter. It wouldn't surprise me if Whittaker comes back quickly if Bisping tests out that knee by throwing more oblique kicks or just straight nasty legs kicks...

Romero should have done so in his fight yesterday.... a vet like Bisping won't make that mistake.

The fight re-scored and Horn STILL the winner. Ead you muppet
Of course they're going to still put Horn as the winner. They don't want to admit that they had it wrong and have every fight called into question. Your intelligence proved that your mother should have swallowed instead.

Ugh... actually... in the past the WBO have re-scored the first Pacquiao v Bradley fight and went against the original decision and said that Pacquiao won...

He wasn't awarded back the belt though. They had Manny fight Bradley again.

They were NEVER going to award the belt back to Manny.

The decision was final... the re-count process is to provide clarity to the public on the scoring.

In the PacBradley fight it was re-scored and Pacquiao was judged as the winner.

In the PacHorn fight it was re-scored and Horn was judged as the winner.

There was no difference in the process... which means your argument that they didn't want to go against the original decision is rubbish... because they have clearly done it before...

Interesting fight coming up this weekend between Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum..

Weidman been desperately unlucky lately, keen to see how he bounces back, but i actually reckon Gastelum wins this one

On to this week...

I don't wanna jinx it in case it doesn't happen but I CANT WAIT FOR CORMIER VS BONES. They genuinely despise each other and its captivated me.

Serious question, can Jones be beaten? Unless he is rusty or high af I can't see it happening

I agree.

I would like to see DC win because I believe that is only thing that would make Jones pull his head in but the 12 inch reach advantage is too much for DC.

The only LHW I can see knocking off Jones is Gustafsson.

Yep, I just don't see how Cormier wins to be honest. To much of a size and I guess skill advantage to Jones.

I may be in the minority but as much as the rivalry intrigues me I don't find DC's fights entertaining at all.

He's very good at what he does and I can appreciate it but I just can't pumped for one of his fights.
