No way it was a try there was no evidence that the ball touched any turf.

Besides that grub Morrison didn't deserve a try with all his feral antics in the play the ball. Call it karma.

And thats why its called benifit of doubt, you cant tell if it did or didnt.. no one can there all just guessing....

and Yeah morrison gave away penalties but clarke missed way to many 3rd man in flops and facials by the storm

That's why it's called BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT! It took the VR 12 replays to come to his decision. You could not see the whole play either so there is no way you can say it didn't at some stage.

Benefit of the doubt rule hasn't been used much at all this season so no surprise to see it go missing again. 50/50 call.

So the video ref has Superman like X-Ray vision, lets see where it clearly shows that he was held up.
ANY botd goes to the attacking team (at least I thought it did)

Disgraceful decision. I disagree with the rules, but according to them it HAD to be given a try as there absolutley no way you could be certain he was held up.

Horrible decision, clearly should have been a try benefit of the doubt. If they are not going to apply that rule consistently they should scrap it because it is a joke currently

i think all benefit of the doubt tries should not be awarded anyways..clears up these kinds of arguements.Anyways he should have passed to grothe who might have barged over or at least gone closer to scoring. It was a selfish play

News ltd own the refs, Storm have had the 50/50 calls all year and never get penlised for holding down but do it more than any other team.

According to the rule book it should've been a try. There was doubt and benefit goes to the attacking side.

I actually thought that Morrison didnt ground it BUT
the way the rule is written, the VR had to be 100% sure that the player did not ground it to disregard the benefit of the doubt rule.
There was some doubt so the VR erred and it should have been a try.

should have been botd IMO... seems that the video refs have been looking for reasons not to award tries.. the Dragons one was awful

No try. Morrison only planted it on Smith, then got up celebrating when the ball was clearly on Smiths arm.
