After watching tonights game Penrith V Roosters I would have to say Crocker and Hodges are by far the most dirtiest players in the comp.
It was disgraceful how they would both rub their elbow's in the opposition faces whilst in tackles.I hope someones wipes the smirk off Crocker's face someday because thats what he deserves.

I keep telling everyone that Mick Crocker's the Ric Flair of Rugby League. He's the dirtiest player in the game.

except ric flair is respected....

Toovey was an annoying buggar for anyone but manly supporters but didnt deserve a stomp in the face. Not funny and not a good moment.

I won't forget it either. I laughed so hard. Toovey was a little cheat. 97 was funny for so many things. Mostly Manly losing the unloseable game though.

Or maybe 97 was great for the fact that Trophy cabinet in Cronulla remained empty.

I was @ the '97 GF.

I couldn't believe everyone around were cheering :?

Seeing a player injured isn't funny at all :(

I agree with the prognosis on all the Roosters thugs:

Hodges- always shows himself to be a childish little b!tch. The Gower push on Friday night was a decent example. He takes a lot of cheap shots, my bet to NEVER win "Best and Fairest"

Crocker- Talent-free and dirty, how does this guy get so many kudos? :?:

Morley- for all his crocodile tears of remorse, and nice guy tags he still put his arms into opponents heads more than ANY other player. Over-rated to buggery too, you don't see his name coming up in metres or tackles too often......

Every club has their problem players; the above 3 are all filthy dirty though and I'd speculate that only Morley has the character to want to change

Andrew Johns... Just ask Brett Kimmorley or Preston Campbell.

From a SOO point of view, I sat back with a smile on my face a few years back when Johns chased Jamie Goddard around the scrum looking for a blue, and Goddard just turned around and sat Joey fair on his arse.

Brilliant stuff  ;-)

As for thugs in the game, alot arent thugs, but moreso 'careless players' :

Probably Morely (hard player, nice bloke, very sloppy tackler), Gee (intent on playing the game hard, which is a good thing, also a nice bloke, but much the same as Morely, too many high shots and dumb plays) Hodges (no comment, we all know), Toovey when he was around.

Most clubs have one or two, its a contact sport, they should be expected now and then.

Cheers.

Every side has it's tthugs and dirty players. For the Warriors I'd cite the following:
Toopi: Big mouth and likes to niggle too much.
Betham: short temper and prone to swinging arms and using his fists
Villisanti: Nor really that dirty but prone to leading with the head.

Crocker is just an antagonist, which is fine if you can play your own game still. Friday night, he had a go at Girdler for losing it ina tackle, but did the same thing himself two plays later...GOOSE!

Morley isn't dirty IMO, perhaps he has poor eyesight or something, but he doesn't carry on shit at play the ball and will pretty much always give a nod or pat to a bloke that gets a good shot on him.
That being said, he does need to bend his knees and stop swinging his arms around so much, Thought getting sent in first 20 seconds of Ashes test would teach him enough.

Everytime Crockershite tackled on Friday night, and was at the top end of the tackled player, he face massaged them before he got up.
