those would be the same AFL clubs that cant generate as many viewers as the NRL GF did?

:?

or those massive clubs that cant get Origin going etc?

What's your point exactly, what has being a big club or not got to do with SOO?

Origin doesnt work in the AFL because their are three states that are as good as each other.one state is essentially a third wheel and lets not forget that tassie has enough talent to be competitive also. Origin is brilliant in league because its strength vs strength(QLD v NSW), like ford and holden its one or the other and the hatred is focused and intense.

What happens to origin when(if) victoria and lets say WA embrace the code and start pumping out brilliant juniors?

or why RL is the number 1 sport on Foxsports despite AwFuL being shown on Foxsports 1 to try and get people interested.

Check subscription numbers in league and AFL territories champ and you'll find out why league does so well. Its the very reason why foxtel paid a sh*tload to get 4 games a week to pump up subscriptions in AFL dominated markets.

that AFL is struggling with the large TV deal in their favour says they will struggle once commercial reality hits their deal.

How is the AFL struggling exactly? They broke the 7,000,000 barrier for home and away and finals matches. the tv ratings are good, and they bring in more money in sponsorship for the league and clubs combined than any other sporting organisation. Player participation levels are enormous, you're not playing with a full deck obviously.

The afl is no threat to league north of the vic border but it isnt exactly fading away either, to suggest otherwise is pure fiction.

Clubs that own there own ground?
What would the nrl be without teams struggling

Swamp in the middle of nowhere. It certainly hasn't prevent Cronulla being a basketcase case living off of NSWRL/News Corp handouts for most of its time in the top flight.

IMO Its time the Grand Final went walkabout like they do in the UK with the Challenge Cup Final.
Take the GF to Melbourne next year! They deserve it and would easily be a kick in the balls for AFL!
I dont this wont be a tickling ears topic but to make the NRL national its time somebody got off the backsides and made the game available to EVERYONE in Australia not just NSW!

I thank you.
While I'd like to Kick the AFL in the balls (if they had any) the NRL final belongs in Sydney.
