1) It would be Daily. As in Daly Thompson, Daly Wilson. The singular "l" means the preceding "a" is pronounced in the long "ay", just as the singular "l" in "Queensland" means everyone in that state finishes sentences with "ay". A double "ll" would mean the "a" sound is flat, as in "Dally"

I always just thought it was pronounced dally but he was sure it was daily

I'll wait till i hear it from the kid himself. commentators are useless, Thaiday has said on the footy show it's pronounced "Thigh" day and yet the wankers keep referring to him like thai food
