Full of excitment. Fast open play. Big hits. Biff. Real origin passion.

Just when we thought Origin was past its use by date, we get this. Can't wait for next year. It's going to be big!!!

The first origin match this year that felt like an "origin match", you know what i mean? One of the best ive seen since i started watching in 97 and my dad said the same thing and hes been watching from day 1. He said watching last night was like watching back in the 80s... full of passion, big hits and punches, exactly what origin was meant to be and has lacked in recent years. Origin is well and truely alive. Bring on 2010!

I would rate that game as one of the best RL games I have ever seen, it truely had everything, it was a remarkeable spectacle.

I'm not too sure if your right there. You ask any QLDer if origin is past its use by date and I'm sure you'll get a different perspective.

But, agree with you that the third game has really set the fuze for next years series though.

One of the best games i've seen, had everything as mentioned above.

If that game was the decider it would go down as greatest game IMO and probably break TV and crowd records.

I totally agree maybe its because NSW were acutally in it and didnt look like school girls out there for once... Was a tremendous match I must say!

Origin in NSW is like a piss-weak watered down light beer compared to the experience you get in QLD. This is my first year living in NSW and it's true, the locals down here need a boost because they've got about bugger all passion - I think this game was what those little skirts needed.

(and I'm not talking about at the game, just in general at pubs and talking to people etc.)

Tell that to the 5000 Blatchys Blues.

My experience in Brissy has been much the same mate. I expected to see maroon jerseys to the horizon come SOO time but there was barely a XXXX sponsor to be seen in the Queen St mall on Wednesday.. There are more NSW flags here at work than there are QLD (and we are outnumbered by plenty) and the majority of the maroon ones were put up after game 1.

It is truely amazing how quiet Qlds capital is when the Maroons lose.

I never once got bashed in 4 years for wearing a Blues jersey. Before I moved up there, I was under the impression that wearing a NSW jersey was more or less a license to get rolled, with the police turning a blind eye.

Brisbane is a very tame city. We have more away fans at our ground than i've seen anywhere else. Nothing bad ever happens to away supporters, including nsw ones. The real tough stuff happens out bush though, in what nsw androtops call 'redneck country'. And they should be scared too......

What does Cairns count as? I had my NSW jersey on around there a few years back the eve of game day and the worst I got were a group of schoolgirls yelling 'Go Qld!' in the mall.
