They use they/them because they are non binary or gender fluid. I'm not sure why it's an issue?
Gender fluidity goes against the basic fact that gender is tied to biological sex, replacing reality with personal feelings. It’s a nonsense and I don’t pander to it.

Gender is social and Sex is Biological. They are two different things.

Your claim that gender is social and sex is biological ignores their interconnection. Gender roles stem from biological differences, and separating them creates confusion in medicine, law, and society. Gender cannot exist entirely apart from biological reality.

One could make the same argument for religion.
I'm sure we agree the state has no right forcing anyone to participate in religion.
Again, you don;'t have to use xi xir or w/e tf (that is a tiny minority), you can use their name

Or are you arguing calling a trans person by he or her?
If you believe/know someone is a biological male, and the pronouns for that are he/him, do you deserve to be vilified if he/him slip out while talking about that person to others? We don't even use these pronouns when talking to the person, because the pronoun is you. When they're talking about themselves it is I/me. The pronouns people use when talking about me to others are none of my business, unless they are doing it within earshot to offend/belittle/etc, then it is f**king rude, and should impact their reputation.

I don’t go out of my way to offend someone by calling them he or her if they don’t identify that way. I typically just use their names as you suggest.
Yep. It's the walking on eggshells aspect that pisses merkins off. Like that poor little merkin in the Call Me Ma'am viral clip.

Which is just fine. A compromise as it were. Unlike people like Elon Musk who deadnames his trans daughter to the cheers of the phobes or Jordan Peterson who repeats often that he will use what he thinks is the correct pronoun like it's a badge of honour to be a prick.
Sometimes people you don't like (e.g. racists, transphobes) are going to celebrate good policy (e.g. immigration control or the government stepping back from enforcing gender ideology). You just have to deal with it. 'Evil' people vote too.

Nobody is forcing you to become trans, either.

Nope.

If it's done with intent to belittle, like using the wrong one on purpose, that is different.

People can misgender butch lesbian women or twink femboys, w/e it's part of our perception. Getting mad because a person used the wrong one is silly.

Without replying to all recent posts, I'll just state that I'm :100:% with team Comfy here, and agree with everything they* have posted.

(* = pronoun chosen because I have no idea of their correct gender or pronoun preference... it's very easy to do and not offensive even grammatically😎 )
