I've previously posted (in this thread even?) that gendered sports is where trans equality arrangements don't fit. Where a sport requires separate gender events/competition, I'd support a third event/competition "inclusive" of trans and intersex people, which would also maintain biological sex events separately - and hence avoid any controversy.
