The Pro Bowl just keeps getting worse ...

I used to love the Pro Bowl. My first ever NFL game was the Pro Bowl many years ago.

Now its just a complete joke. Way too many players pulling out with injury.

Vince Young just got called up.

If Manning plays in the Superbowl then who gets called up next? Trent Edwards?

Playing it a week before the super bowl is just dumb, totally dumb. Playing it after the super bowl may not be the best option, but playing it the week before is the worst.

I like the idea of the pro bowl but they really need to look at the whole idea of playing it.

At least Vince was actually good this year, he was sh*t when he somehow made the pro bowl two or three years ago.

They should just get rid of the whole thing. The players don't care, fans don't care, it's sole reason for existence seems to be giving the media a weeks holiday in Hawaii.

I don't think the NFL can just get rid of the Pro-Bowl, the whole "all-star game" concept is something that is ingrained in the American sports psyche. I mean even the MLS has an all-star game even though the concept is alien to football.

Sanchez should have been invited over Garrard based on yesterday's performance alone.

Yeah, Ben hurt his shoulder round 17, against the Dolphins. It's not serious though - I thnk it's an excuse to not have to play. Most players think it's a jerk-off anyway.

I'm sorry, but this concept needs serious reconsideration by the NFL

The players dont take it seriously - they get paid millions to play normal games, so I can see why they dont want to bother with this.

Having a Pro Bowl listing against your name will soon mean you're a mediocre player for accepting the invitation and will work against you at the next contract talks :lol:

It will be seen as a poison chalice. Nothing more. It's sad, but money talks, everything else is just bullsh*t.

17-17 at the moment, It's a pretty dour game, with both defense's not trying. That leads to a lot of open receivers so there could be a fair bit of points in this one.

Vince Young has looked pretty bad out there when given the chance. Even with little to no coverage and no blitzes.
