Halla the '92 Cox Plate was one of the strongest fields in the race's history..

The race was full of out & out champions..

The field was:

Let's Elope - Melbourne & Caulfield Cups double, Australian Cup, multi WFA winner

Super Impose - 2 Doncaster miles,2 Epsom Handicaps,Cox Plate, Melbourne Cup placegetter, multi G1 winner..

Better Loosen Up - Cox Plate, Japan Cup, Australian Cup

Rough Habit - 11 Group 1's,Cox Plate placegetter

Sydeston - Caulfield Cup, Tancred/BMW, twice Cox Plate placegetter,4 time Group 1 winner..

Mannerism - Caulfield Cup..

Naturalism - Australian Derby,Caulfield Stakes, second Japan Cup

Kinjite - Epsom, George Ryder, 3 x G1 winner..

Slight Chance - 2 x Oaks winner, 5 x G1 winner..

Burst - Golden Slipper,2yo Triple Crown,3 Group 1 wins..

Prince Salieri - 2 x G1 winner

Coronation Day - 2 x G1 winner

Palace Reign - Caulfied Guineas

Muirfield Village - the only non Group 1 winner in the field..

The race was one of the roughest in it's history,with the favourite Naturalism losing it's jockey (Mick Dittman) as it was cruising up to the leaders about 100m before the Moonee Valley turn,setting of a chain of interference as jockeys tried to get their horses around the fallen Dittman..

Lets Elope (one of only 2 female horses in the race) then decided she was going to take control of her jockey,& proceeded to cannon into Better Loosen Up,who cannoned into half the field..She caused all sorts of chaos,that allowed a late swooper like old Super Impose to fly down the outside & win while all the other horses were trying to get going again after the trouble caused by Lets Elope..

So i need you to be Lets Elope..

That field is almost as good as the Quiney Cup field Horrie :lol:

I remember that race well Lets Elope was the horse that really got me into the sport of kings.

She was a great racehorse..

Her 7 race in a row win sequence was Turnbull Stakes,Caulfield Cup,Mackinnon Stakes,Melbourne Cup,Orr Stakes,St George Stakes, and the Australian Cup(in course record time)..:shock:

She was one of the only horses the missus backed..She won a fortune that spring where Lets Elope was untouchable..

Anyway back on topic..

Inver's Nuses had 10 of our guys playing in the last game,but there is chatter around that Chandimal may come in for Perera..
