As an aside I saw the clip for Dredd last night and looks like a pretty close copy.

Dredd a copy of the Raid (possibly the Raid copied a Dredd storyline that the movie is following up)

Basically the Dredd trailer has him and a rookie going into a high rise tower that is controlled by a criminal/drug lord and said drug lord announcing to all the occupants there are judges in the building and they want them dead.

dredd is a remake

i saw this movie a few days ago and believe the hype this had at one stage cause it is NON STOP ACTION
yes its over the top but it feels like it should be right up there with the best films of 2012

I was looking forward to this movie for quite a while. Got a mass load of hype. Good ratings. And my mates said it was great.

After watching it I couldnt understand the fuss. I was expecting some action movie that re-invented aspects of the genre. All i got was a predictable kung fu movie where you can fast forward the fight scenes because theyre those ones where the fighters would be dead 10 seconds in, but the battle drags on for 5 minutes. I cant see why this Indo movie is any different to those 'everyone is a kung fu master' Hong Kong movies.

as a martial arts fan im quiet happy with the martial arts movies that are coming out
