The real issue

Basically if we beat the Warriors we play semi-finals.

Sharks on 18
3 teams on 14.
Two of them are slugs.
The other is Warriors.

Scenario 1: They beat us and are 2 points shy with Raiders and Seagles to play.
And we have Rorters and Raiders.
They probably beat Seagles and we lose both which leaves us both on 18 - but our for/against is far superior. Unless Rorters and Raiders each put 50 on us.

Scenario 2: We beat Warriors which takes us to 20 with them left on 14 and we take 8th.

The two slugs - Tigs and Drags -should lose all remaining games.

As much as I want to make the finals, whoever we play week 1 will destroy us.. the warriors are the feel good story for the nrl as well, so we’ll probably get ashley klein next week and all will go to plan.

Yes we need to win one more game to make the semis, just in time for the return of Chad and probably Mozah. Probably lose all 3 and limp into the finals anyway..

Might be "feel good" story for the NRL and media and fans but is it "feel good "story for warriors? Being career professionals , they no doubt want to be competitive , but with GF aspirations slim , getting home as soon as possible must be playing on minds of some of them.

We’ll limp into 8th then exit Wk1, no great surprise there. All still good experience for young team’s development. 2021 we have our full cap back, might make it to Wk 2. This rebuild project has at least another 2-3 years marinating before producing anything extra special. Enjoy the ride.

Yeah I defn don't want us to see us make finals and go "well we're a young team we did OK."

I don't think they'll do that though. Hopefully keeps making them hungrier next year. Just don't see much changes to the squad next year, only young guys with more experience, which is good but is it enough to improve for a top 4/6 spot.

Maybe help in the coaching staff is our best option.

I'm hoping the Knights jump as I don't think they'll beat us again if we play them in the finals but they have a slightly harder draw than the Raiders so don't know if they can catch them.

And they're resting Ponga this week, not that I liked their chances against the Roosters but considerably harder now.

We then for last 2 games rest Dugan, SJ and Brailey.
If anyone else who is important as any form of injury rest them
Then bring these guys back for finals as close as fully fit
