both papers named said player over said incident the other just didn't run with it as the front page

I actually think that it would have been better if the Club had released a statement with the specific reason.

Just state what really happenned, make it crystal clear that Jamie needs to be left alone, and threaten to smash anyone that tries to make something of it.

May be a bit tough at first, but what it will do is kill off any speculation, which could be a lot worse. By stating that it is a "personal tragedy" allows for those that need a story to spin their own theories as to what they want to believe to happen

Well Hadley and Wielder (the person who wrote the bit about the reason Jamie left) have a well known feud so I doubt Hadley would beleive anything that DAnny Weilder says which could be why he as yet hasn't apologised.

If someone else had said what Weilder did it would be intresting if what Ray would have done.

It seems Ray Hadley has a fued with everyone these days. I wonder whose opinion he actually respects.

Hadley probably won't apologise. Or if he does, it'll be one of those incredibly quick & heartless ones that he uses often, then he'll change the subject.

but if anyone was the bag him they'd cop a pasting for weeks and he'd threaten to sue if he didn't get a public apology and a signed document stating they would never do it again.

As a caller of the games Hadley is very very good

however he lets his personal views get in the way too much and has a number of feuds going with people and this distorts his objectivity in most matters.

One in particular involving a former Parramatta winger is one I've felt some backlash from Hadley in regards to when I pointed out the fact that he was letting his personal views get in the way of the bigger picture.

His reply to the email I sent him left me at least in no doubt that he knew what I was saying was correct but he couldn't bring himself to admit as such so he combated it by reverting to petty typing errors in the email.

Now I'd hate to be the one to bring a close to this forum as Ray led the charge late last year that saw many other forums shut down or heavily moderated so I'll stop now.

Why does Joe Public have to know exactly what the reason for his leaving was after being told he left for personal reasons. If Jamie and his girlfriend had wanted to talk to the public about it then they would have. Why do we need to know every detail of what the kid is suffering through? There are persoanl issues he has to deal with, the club has given him time and his manager has asked that the media give him space. Is that not enough?
