The road behind the colliseum

Watching a couple of Leigh Centurions home games, I was interested to know what road that is that runs behind the stadium (you can see heaps of cars going past during the game.)

Is it that famous motrway that alot of the superleague teams are situated on?

I don't live anywhere near there, but it seems like the Atherlee Highway, running north-south:

The more famous motorway is the M62, which joins Manchester and Leeds running east-west.

Its just the road from Wigan to Bolton isn't it? Nothing special about that one.

I love the M62 though, with a passion. If they ever said they were closing it I would protest until the cows came home, I have spent half my life on that road!
