I definately dont want NAS on our team.He is a grub of the highest order. Ive watched his dirty play too many times to want him playing for us. I'd rather blood some juniors than to just pay overs to get anybody to join us. I cant believe around the whole of this country there isnt a junior out there just waiting for his chance. Please no more has beens and players who spend half their time on the sideline after yet another suspension. NAS doesnt suit our proud tradition, and i certainly dont want it lowered to his standard

NAS or Woods. Who would you prefer?

Looking for a junior to fill the gap in our pack is not an option. I believe we now have a few such juniors in our squad but they are not ready and probably won't be ready over the next couple of seasons.

So, for many reasons we need to buy a big prop and the fact that Hook wants to start with Mbye as hooker this week, tells me that Liddle is not the hooker we were looking for.

The answer is looking us in the face;
Hunt to 9
Sullivan to 7
Turner / Amone to 6

Hook has Amone at 21 for this week so, I imagine he is available to play.

And in my opinion, Bird at 13 is a bad idea, defensively he is not up to the rigger of defense in the middle.

A friend of mine showed me rhe article, sorry don't have a copy. It just lists the players we have bought and lost by each year since 2018 and provides a rating for each year. Nothing that we don't already know. It also says Hunt has been worth the money we paid for him and he is now our only current SOO player yet we had more rep players back in 2018. It just says retention/recruitment has been bad without saying why or apportioning any blame to any party. IMO a nothing article overall.

Here is something else and it is that Hunt doesn't think that we will be wooden spooners. Of course he would say that and he is backing Hook still.

Where'd you hear the NAS potential signing?

Great pickup if we get him. Finally a massive body in the middle to compliment our hard workers & smaller mobile forwards. He can bend the line allowing space & ruck speed for the others to take advantage. Melb also used him on the edge late last season as a big attacking edge forward. We can definitely do that in the attacking 20 imo. He wouldn't play for Melbourne if he wasn't good.

I still want us to get a big mobile edge forward too.

Some players I'm hoping we target are Chris Patolo (bulldogs forward), Teig Wilton (sharks 2rf, gun line runner), Jacob Host (solid player with good potential).

Whatever happens I don't want us to waste money on a mediocre player or average player.

Jacob used to be a Dragon and was let go. I doubt they would go back to that well, at least with the current regime

I admire your persistence Possum but I don’t see any way Hunt will be a 9 for us this year

Mybe's contract with the Tigers was up before this year so whatever we are paying him this year is all of our own doing.
