Who would he play instead of Sloan at fullback though?

Zac Lomax. He is being shortchanged in the centres with lack of early, clean ball from our so called play makers. Given more ball and room to move, reckon he'd surprise many.

Agree. I'm no judge of these things but it seems to me that there are at least three guys who are routinely not in their 'natural' positions in our backline:

Lomax has the body and key skills for FB - he's a pretty hard defender, good under the high ball, has some speed (although probably lacking some of what's needed).

Sloan has the body and skills for a 5/8 or centre - probably better at the latter - he's a pretty good hole runner and line breaker. Poor defender though.

Hunt - I've always believed is a 5/8 - pretty stocky physique, good acceleration, he's strike-force type of ball runner. also a pretty poor defender though.

I'd like to see a trial of

Lomax 1, Liddle 9, Sullivan 7, Hunt 6, Sloan 3

Who knows?

Like most of what you say, but Sloan at #3 negates his ball skills, If not fullback, in the halves for me.

It's all about giving Sloan and Sullivan more games this year and they will come good. They should have had more games under their belts by now but they had a really bad coach who had his favourites. Flanno will have a much better system in place for them to excel in.

Who will set up our tries with ball in hand. I rate Sully potentially a good play maker but he aint near that at present. Sloan is closer. Note how he sniffs round the ball carrier and tries to jump into dummy half, the guy wants his hands on the leather.

I did and was shocked. Dont recall which article or what publication, perhaps only sensationalism by the scribe, no surely not as he/she'd be hauled over the coals, with their employer probably facing libel charges.

There is a report by Ricco on CodeSports today saying our Head of Physical Performance, Tony Guilfoyle has quit this week following reports he will be replaced in 2024.
Sounds like Flanagan is getting to work behind the scenes and dreading on plenty of toes.
Can only hope there will be some others gone soon, including Haran at the top of the Flanagan move them on list.

Sounds like Flanagan is getting to work behind the scenes and dreading on plenty of toes.

Was mentioned earlier this week that a new physio team would be in place for next year , headed by Andrew Gray , who is highly regarded and formerly with the Dragons some years back

I like the commentary coming from Carr. The shit other he's had to content with for this first time coach would make anyone give up before his career has started. He's signed for 2024 and I hope Flanno keeps him on.

Yes. I've liked everything I've seen of Carr to-date; including his sideways glances at Hunt's answers in post-game press conferences.

Short term solution for me would be Matt Feagai, decent under the high ball, runs hard and wouldn't leave his wing as a result of this plus he can actually tackle unlike jersey grabbing Sloan.
