If we are actually after Tracey and we don't land him, then I think that guys like Millard, Haran and even Flanagan are weak as piss and don't deserve to be any part of this club. We have got to be ruthless and get these guys that the Club has targeted. I don't like to see the usual story of them having a dig at getting these players and then when they don't come they say that they "tried" and the players went in a different direction which was out of their hands. Yeah right.

Everything is fair in love and war but if we don't win the war, I will lose the love of the Dragons.

Respectfully disagree.... Signing Tracey is not going to improve our side drastically... sure solves some problems, but we have bigger fish to fry...2025.. is the year we see multiple players off contract.. and space to negotiate... we have already tried to offload a number of players with no takers.

We have already knocked back a number of players based on them wanting multiple year contracts and why sign players just for the sake of it ?

P.S Re Tracey, don't believe everything in the media....

Now this is what gets me , as you say ( there's something very dodgy about that deal ) and its not only them ....... If we are only one of a few teams that are playing by the rules , then good for us ....... We either do the same as the teams that are getting away with it , legal or not they have smart operators doing their deals ...... By the looks of it you play by the rules and you go nowhere ........
THIS!

The Tracey one makes zero sense to me. At the Dragons, he probably starts whereas at the Bulldogs he's another utility given all spine positions are covered unless they see him as their answer at halfback which I strongly doubt. If they play him there, they'll discard him as soon as someone more accustomed to 7 comes on the market. They don't need another utility at all, their top 30 is full, and they were trying to bring in SST just yesterday who is a forward, whereas Tracey is a back which tells you they're looking to bring in another forward if they can clear up RFM's space on the roster. Seems like bullshit to me and probably his manager trying to drive up his price. If he actually does go to the Dogs, there's something very dodgy about that deal as I can't see the Dogs offering more money, or a better opportunity to start than the Dragons.
Its actually really pissed me off. If its a ploy to get more money out of us then stuff him we don't want him. If he will be considering going to the dogs without even a starting chance and the bad morale there then I think he is trouble piss him off dont get him.

Rfm would be the carrot if indeed the sharks want him, he also wouldn't be a starter in the sharks pack I imagine.. But good depth perhaps.

It's a bit of a win win for the dogs, they get rid of someone they don't want..

Actually not rly sure what we can rly do about it tbh.. Other than bird or mmolo or Russell, I dont think there is anyone else we can dispose of.
I think that if Tracey is willing to entertain going to the dogs then drop persuing him. we dont need another headache pain in the arse recruit.

To get Tracey for this next season a player swap is needed.
The Sharks have a number of good backs ready to step up, so which decent forward would SGI be willing to let go?
That's why the Dogs are in the better position to get him.
F**k them let them have him. He is not that great a player anyway. We should look in left field areas and find a rare gem.

Cameron Ciraldo will have Toby Sexton, Drew Hutchison, Kurt Mann, Jaeman Salmon and Blake Taaffe all available to play in the halves.

Someones telling porkies
One club with 6 potentially 7 halves options and another club with not even 1

Yet these players all still pile on to the same club to sit 6th string

Absolutely Baffles me

I expect Sloan to have a breakout year under Flanno.
We can all see Sloans amazing attacking skills but I’m not sure how he suddenly can start making those one on one tackles he constantly comes tumbling out of. Sure, he can bulk up a bit and better position himself but there’s a heap to do to make him so he is not a liability out the back regardless of what we wish to see.

stick him on the wing and give him a roving role.

This from FoxSport regarding our Ex-Player and Coach Nathan Brown
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
"Former NRL coach Nathan Brown will leave the Parramatta Eels after a short stint as the club’s elite pathways coaching director.

Brown joined the Eels midway through 2022 to lead a review into its elite pathways program in a bid to ensure local talent had the best opportunity to progress through to NRL level at the club.

The 50-year-old coached at the Dragons, Knights, Warriors and in the Super League and was also a coaching adviser for Parramatta’s NRLW team this year.

But his time with the Eels is now over, with Brown and his family to relocate to the Gold Coast."

I would have loved him as our recruit guy instead of Millard. This guy builds teams and has the best eye for talent imo. Anyway good luck to him in Qld. I am sure he will find a gig somewhere there.

Yep but on the wing then when they get the ball he can sneak off the field, then come back on in attack :)

One minute a player is coming, the next they aren't. At least we are in the mix.

How many of the above would walk into the team and at what cost.

The Dogs seem to be throwing darts at the dart board and seeing how may will stick. Good for them however, so have we with not much success.

Hi FlickFlano

We know that you are fairly new to this Forum and just want to let you know that possm has an eye problem of some sort and uses blue to help him read things. He also would prefer to see any replies in blue. He isn't doing it for fun.

Just thought I'd let you know. Cheers
I am not ashamed to say that my eyes are now shot. I have 3% vision and 5% field tunnel in my left and no vision in my right eye. I listen to other forum members' posts using the read-aloud function in Windows.

I contracted a disease soon after being born at Buli Hospital. This disease is called pinks disease; a sporadic disease in Australia. It was carried by a lady from England who was giving birth at the same time as my mum, in the same ward. Babies had bright pink skin on their hands and feet, thus the name Pinks disease.

The remedy at the time was for the baby to be given a special medicine that over a week or so, returned the baby's skin to normal colour however, all babies who contracted the disease at Buli Hospital in June 1954 ended up with this same eye complaint which was a result of the medical treatment to return the hands and feet to normal colour.

A black background with blue text helps me write my posts and as I stated above I use read-aloud to listen to your text.

I have followed the Dragons all my life but rarely go to the game anymore as I can't see any action. At home, I have a huge TV and computer screen and you would certainly laugh out loud if you saw me with my nose right up next to the screen and moving my head around the screen trying to catch some of the action.

I have 5 kids and 5 grandkids with another on the way. On fathers day we play Beep Cricket together.

For the past 9 years I have been the President of a charity named Blind Bats Inc. https://blindbats.org/ and invented the game of Beep Cricket and yes also invented a beeping cricket ball for the game.

Although 69 years of age, I play Beep Cricket every Sunday. This is a very popular All-Ability game with players who have a variety of abilities.

Well there now, the secret is out!
