Heard he wants to sign but money offering is a lot less than some of our other under perfoming "stars". But thats just from a dolphins supporter who probably hoping he goes there. He is 25 and i would say still has his best in front of him if he can stay fit.

Thanks for posting Rev....very interested in seeing that wingers are the bottom feeders but in fact are the players who score the tries.
I've never believed in a model like this even though it's only a guide.
A top centre is crucial to the effectiveness of a half like The Chin so getting a balanced side is key.
Would these figures be derived by averages of known contracts?

I agree such a specialised position now a days. However i guess they score all the tries but dont have the continual damaging effect on the body from tackling. Neither does a full back but they have a lot more pressure on them.

He's also reigned it in because the NRL, referees and judiciary target him and players like him. He has said as much speaking on podcasts.

Had a huge target on his head - didnt he get sent off three times in a row in 2022. Love it when he plays tough, its a liability though yes

Agree, and don't forget that a good winger can make or break and side when returning the football back after the opposition kick deep. A good carry can effectively set up another raid and it's that sustained pressure that good teams do to put points on the board.
It's one of the reasons Noffa was good for the tigers, often he would run from his tryline back up to near halfway albeit often sideways
I just think team members fom hooker to fullback should be paid what they are worth and not by a matrix....eg Manu gets paid similar to a good ½.
It's the same for rep players. What's his/her value to their NRL team?

I used to hear the story round the BBQ when growing up in the 70s

I heard he used the prize money to buy a block of land on Oyster Bay.

He certainly was Crush. I wasn't that happy that the Tigers thrashed them 66-18 when Young was their defence coach but happy that they were able to turn it around several weeks later annihilating the Tigers 74-0.

I think that Young, Flanno and Millard would be working on getting a couple of the forwards to come down to the Dragons next year. Just like the Bulldogs, the Dragons need to cull a lot of the players from the current squad in years 2025 and 2026 and bring in improvement where necessary of better forwards including hooker and a couple of faster and more powerful backs. I really cannot understand why they haven't signed any big guns with brawn and brains in the forwards ranks. We need those tall, big and muscular forwards who can break tackles in attack and block the opposition like brick walls in defence.

Funnily enough I heard otherwise, but from the proverbial “friend of a friend of a friend” so not gospel.

The story I heard is money is agreed, the sticking point is he (Su’a) (or his manager) wants 4 years, the club wants 3 years.

I’d be tempted to give him the 4th year, but I guess that’s how we got our cap upside down a few years ago.

I just hope he stays, I like him as a player.

But I did hear that the “player of the year” (I think all grades?) has n the early 60s? won a block of land in the Cronulla Sutherland area. Prize supplied by a fan that was a Real Estate agent.
Can anyone confirm or deny that one?

Yeh mate I just posted that one. That Galvin kid was the breakout star in the magpies GF winning Harold Matts side. He's a gun. We extended his contract to keep the vultures away but until we get the right combo for Luai I can't see us letting anyone of them go.
It's a good problem.
You have the coach's son now so I don't think Bud coming home will happen.
I really like Bud, heaps of potential.
