So does Craig Young. Except Craig bent the rules to support a fkn pedo
And is still around the club as well, unbelievable how far out of touch they are with not only their own fans, but everyone in general. They've had this piece of shit delivering the game ball at home matches and making special appearances at games. I mean come on, it's laughable how bad they are in so many areas. It doesn't take a genius to realise keeping him around is a terrible idea

The Dragons have a big wad of cash to spend on players and so too will the Roosters for 2025 to replace several guys going to union and some retiring (Keary). I wonder what our squad of players will look like as compared to the squad of the Roosters this time next year? Chalk and Cheese!!
Unfortunately, I have to agree DD- when Wests Tigers are beating us to players, there needs to be RL's equivalent of a Royal Commission into the structure and administration of the club.

Curious if we bend the rules and we get caught, will you be blaming the club and culture and asking for sackings etc..
Or what is your interpretation of "bending the rules"
I should clarify. I’m not saying we should do anything illegal within the framework of what the NRL has in place, I’m simply saying that we should be offering players more insensitives to join us,( TPA’s etc) jobs for the boys post career. There’s ways around it, we just need to be more creative and think outside the box. If the Rorters can do it, why can’t we??

100% redandwhite4evr.

Unfortunately while we applauded the sacking of Hook, the circus surrounding the signing of his replacement resulting with Ryles withdrawing to take the job when it was thought it was more or less a fait accompli and then the club falls back to Flanno - whose background became more at the forefront of his selection than the selection itself and then followed up a few weeks later during the first SOO of 2023 with Hunt saying he wanted out of the Dragons which continued for a time and then we get Lomax calling it quits with us as well it is no bloody wonder we have become a club that no marquee player wants to join. So yes, that "Royal Commission" into the structure and administration of the club would be a good thing.

How in blazes did we ever get to this situation, pandering to Hunt, pandering to Lomax who will be next?

Hunt and Lomax have created problems for us for sure.

Our club has to have a much better image and yes offering incentives to join us would help.

We lost our chance of showing the world that we are a strong, reputable, world famous brand when WIN Corp was selected over that Smith guy who was/is a big fan of the Dragons. He would have gone overboard to make us great.

Roosters aren't smarter. They just cheat the cap.
Well they will have plenty in their coffers to rebuild their team. They know who are leaving, they know what players they need, they know how to get their man. Plenty of time up their sleeve to do a thorough job of their roster, if they haven't done so already, so they can start the ball rolling. On the other hand we know we have a lot in the bank and even though we know what we need, unless we spend quite a chunk over the market value for a marquee, we won't have the same luxury and drawing power as the Roosters which is a bastard of a thing for us.

I agree with you Phantom V. but the rorters have professional business savvy people running their club whilst we have Haran and Millward. Lets not get started on the BOD.

We haven't had a real recruitment manager for nearly 2 years...having relied upon Webb and Haran over much of that period, so its no wonder we are behind the eight ball. Shane Millard took over towards the end of last year and reports are that he is ill currently (unconfirmed). So that leaves everything up to poor old Flanno who I would have thought has enough on his plate getting his side to perform consistently.

So when you compare our past recruitment expertise, Haran and Webb with the Tigers who now have Shane Richardson and Marshall or Bulldogs who have Gould (he seems to know about every junior coming through the ranks everywhere) its easy to see why we are very successful..

The Roosters are winners and as they say they play to win premierships. Something we were very good at but unfortunately have now accepted that making the finals = successful year.

Avoiding the spoon this year will probably result in a bonus for the CEO and football department.

Yep thats

Thats why they are on top , what ever way they do it they are getting away with it ...... So you ok if our lot and sit on their hands and continue to do the same things with no results ? I'm not ....... So if we have to do the same then be it ......
Here I was thinking Panthers have been the best team for the last 5 years.

yep and accounts are that Scott Fulton was courted to replace the very ill Millard but got rejected by the board.. now tbh maybe it was wise.. but id like to see an alternative found ASAP, because we have pretty much burnt 12 months with Leilua the only vague signing... take away Lomax and we are sitting net negative currently during our "rebuild" year.
