Read an article this morning where he mentioned he starts training next week.
I'm in love with Gutho moving his family.. still has the beaches and golf courses etc.. it means he's all in... I was worried the commute was going to kill his love to be there at training, doing extras etc..

I reckon Gutho will rock up late nov, early dec.. get the party started.. I think he will be our captain.

Here's one out of left field. Assuming Lodge no longer an option,
Whilst going for Terrell, we should also make a play for Fonua Pole from the Tigers.

Stats from Zero Tackle -A hard-running lock and front-rower has made 507 tackles, 43 tackles busts, 963.1 post-contact metres and ran a total of 2383 running metres and is destined to appear in the international arena later this year." 182 cm, 108kg and only 22. Off contract 2025 and Tigers attempting to extend however there has been no signature.

He played in all matches last year and it was easy to see why he is a fan favourite. Many Tigers fans believe his potential far greater than Stefano Utoikamanu.

Considering very few quality middles available, he might be a viable option. Doubt West Tigers would enforce his final year. They have enough issues.

It’s funny how the media portrays Hunt leaving as having a negative effect on the club. They obviously haven’t been coming on to the forum and reading the room. If they did they would realise that for the first time in a long time there is a genuine buzz about the joint and it’s mostly attributed to captain gloomy being shown the door.
Finally Flanno is putting a squad together with some true leaders that will bring a much needed energy and positive vibe to the playing group. Can’t wait for next year
Deano is getting us on the move

Boring but true

What…to Tonga or Rooty Hill RSL where he is based as the Assistant Coach to the Tongan Rugby League team.
That certainly is on the move, just not for the RedV.
Deano was the one in the meeting when we flicked Hunt
Its obvious why he was needed
Thanks Deano

Although halfback is still the primary guy to nail down.. the middle is also fascinating..

o May is still #1 target, but there are atleast 2 competitors..
o Lodge I still think is a maybe.. I have no inside knowledge, but I just wonder if hes putting off his decision till post-fight.. so thats late november..
o Whos is the next option? God knows.. We could probably chase something from Rugby or something from NSW/QLD Cup.. But I dont think Flanno wants a maybe.. he wants a sure thing and he has the cash.. but as always the options are limited so close to the new season.. Pole maybe if he could leave early.. but I think its 2025 or nothing.. we have a few of our own guys that in 12mths time might be coming of age..... plus keeping our options open for an opportunist signing along the way...

No doubt missing RCG so late in the piece hurt us.. he was a lock.. that said he was on pretty big coin also.

RCG was looking for some place to lie down and have a nice pre-retirement nap. That was why he wanted 3 years.
