It's not that different to us...Hunt, Lomax, Molo...now we are in a fight to keep Latu.they were getting a Panthers 2 look about them , but this current drama has the potential to destroy all the good work that is being done by Benji and Co
I have said it before, however why does not the NRL ensure that all players see out the full term of their contracts ? They, the NRL are the governing body , yet they sit in the background doing nothing about the situation , far too many players walk out on their contracts citing one excuse or another and each occasion they get their way with the club left to pick up the pieces. A most disgusting state of affairs in this the so called premier sport in Australia .It's not that different to us...Hunt, Lomax, Molo...now we are in a fight to keep Latu.
Would it happen at the power clubs? No.
Will the struggle clubs continue to struggle? Yep.

Imagine if last year we read - Jack De Belin and Jaydn Sua approached coach flanagan and said they didnt want Ben Hunt in the team.
That wouldve been fantastic.

Shame on all involved , theNRL , player and the greedy manager!
People in glass houses Mr Luai ……. he signed 12 mths in advance with the Tigers & has get out clauses in his current contract ! This whole contract issue has to stop it’s driven by the player managers but the NRL do nothing about it. Understand there are restraint of trade issues in some cases but until Uncle Nick doesn’t like it & rings his mate running the game the circus will keep going.Imagine if last year we read - Jack De Belin and Jaydn Sua approached coach flanagan and said they didnt want Ben Hunt in the team.

I’d stick him in the 2nd row or centres in NSW Cup. Bugger developing him as a 1/2 or 5/8 for the next two seasonsIf I was the Tigers I would make him sit out the remainder of his contract. No reserve grade nothing but of course he will get a release self entitled player who better live up to his next contract because the pressure his management and whoever else have put on him to perform is massive. He won't get any favours from the media that's for sure
2nd row is where I think he will end up in a few years.I’d stick him in the 2nd row or centres in NSW Cup. Bugger developing him as a 1/2 or 5/8 for the next two seasons
It's got nothing to do with signing 12 months in advance. He doesn't want him in the side because of his attitude. Imagine a 19 year old saying the coach can't develop him. Why are Luai, Turuva, Hunt and May playing there then?People in glass houses Mr Luai ……. he signed 12 mths in advance with the Tigers & has get out clauses in his current contract ! No one knows the true story you have your opinion i have mine. It's got nothing to do with signing 12 months in advance. He doesn't want him in the side because of his attitude. Imagine a 19 year old saying the coach can't develop him. Why are Luai, Turuva, Hunt and May playing there then?
With an annual player draft.Makes a strong case for only 12 month contracts, owned and managed by the NRL.
Noone is gonna have an answer to that until its done.. but given we let him start negotiations a week early and apparently its progressing faster than they imagined.. id say we will have the good or bad news within the next week or so..Anyone know what's happening with Latu is he more likely to stay with us or leave?
Hope we keep him, but the balls in his court. I have no problem wig letting him negotiate so as to set reasonable price, and for both parties to know where he stands, though I hope he stays on less to be with his team mates. If he signs on, he starts to get blooded in FG, otherwise, I’d consider letting him go early if that’s what he wants, wishing him well. Keep good relations in case we want him later And build better relations with hopefully decent players and even managers.
