With all this supposed cap space, perhaps we need to change tact a little and offer someone like Hass a shorter 2 year contract but on massive money, say 2 million a year, back ended/ front end whatever it takes. That way he is still young enough to make his next move back to QLD. As mentioned previously, a lot of these QLD players become homesick. I would also be signing Cobbo, we need to take a chance and I feel he could be our cheaper version of Latrell Mitchell.

Maybe, but I'm sure he will ont go for a 2-year deal. He is still very young so I'd say , have a word with his manager to find out how much they want over a 3-4 year deal. We have some good forwards coming through, we just need a marquee leader in our forward pack.

Haas won’t come to us, BMM I think is there as a mentor and to help attract Islanders to the club, no one wants Lawrie, Guler is under contract for 2026, Sele also under contract for 2026 I believe, Suli under contract till the end of 2027, Sua under contract till end of2026, at least Klemmer can move on.

The Club has to act more purposefully and with more positive agendas and proper planning to be the strong united club that we have been pining for.
