Captain Damien Cook is among the list of players to have had the rug pulled from under him after he was reportedly close to agreeing to an extension to remain with the Red V, Code Sports reported.

Now all bets are off.

Once a highly-touted recruit, Luciano Leilua is among the group that don’t have a contract for 2027.

Blake Lawrie, Emre Guler, Hame Sele, Christian Tuipulotu, Nathan Lawson and Tyrell Sloan are the other players who have been given the cold shoulder.

Ennis clearly didn't want to work with Dean Young... Imagine what is going through the players mind right now. Im sure plenty more will ask for a release.

Hoping the roosters put 50 on us this week. Definitely don't want Dean next year. We need to look outside the organisation. No more jobs for the boys

I met Cheika when he was going to Japan for the Rugby World Cup and was very impressed, however I have my doubts he should get an initial first grade NRL job with a basket case like us. As for Willie Talau don’t forget that BMM is still working for the club in an Islander liaison type role, add in Kyle Stanley and I think the club is well aware that Islanders are where lots of talent is and you need to make them very welcome . I think we do that. The club looks to me it’s going to get the shake up that should have occurred years ago. Crash through or crash. Bring it on.

Willie Tallau is the only coach with any resemblance to success in his resume, if Dean Young is smart he should keep Willie involved as close as he can.
He is a winner and the young guys love him.
