Lafai was on fire when he was resigned, and to be honest, has improved greatly this year and proven he has a lethal combo with Widdop on our left edge.
MacDonald, well, he had a great year last year, and we needed speed and size on the wing so we got him, at least we recognised a problem and made an attempt to fix a position. Hindsight is a great thing, at the time we signed him i gaurentee you you were wrapped with his signing!
Millward resigned Mary and signed Himself??? Hahahahahahaha all i can say to that is YOU HAVE NFI.

I would have preferred to have kept Packer and also signed Graham. I believe that Hunt is a good acquisition. Our wingers are erratic and apart from Mann we have little depth in the three quarters. We have no back up halves or hooker. Millward has talked up a few of the Under 20's players including Field and Masters

Robson is the backup dummy half that has been made clear.

Willis will eventually be the backup 7 and Millward has stated they are chasing a guy who can cover the halves.

Field, Sailor, Garrick, Herbert and Periera are the depth backs again Millward said he is chasing a player who can cover wing and centre.

Millward has talked up players like numerous other people who have watched the Dragons juniors and rightfully so they are very good young talented players.

The SMH posted a story saying that there are 100 players with first grade experience without a contract.
The way things are going there could be some talented players at a reasonable price. These players will be happy just to get signed.

I hardly think Hastings would return, only to play behind Hunt.

Widdop is a better goal kicker.

Hastings has played at 3 clubs already in his career.

It will be very difficult for him to score a gig in the NRL as a starter.

Hastings may need to go to ESL or Toronto Wolf Pack to start.

Not sure Widdop is a better goal kicker than Hastings. Would like to see some stats on that as Gareth is only an average goal kicker.

One of the rare occasions we trumped Politis - he threw big money to get him from the Dragons. At the time there was a fair bit of angst against the Club for letting him go. Turns out we may have dodged a bullet ..in the long run.
